Baby Pens training camp roster

http://www.wbspenguins.com/Newsroom/...p%20Roster.asp

Gives you a good idea how Wheeling will look this season.

Fleury-Chiodo in WBS
Sabourin-Exter in Wheeling.

Nice to see Patrick Foley there as well. He should have a significant role with the Nailers.

One thing I really like seeing: the oldest man on the roster, at the ripe old age of 29, is Chris Kelleher. No player over 30. Not saying veteran influence isn't important, but rather that our glut of prospects is finally coming to the professional level. That bodes well for the future. Most AHL teams have atleast a couple veterans. We have a few AHL "veterans", but none that are really old. They can more relate to the younger players and help them along in development.

Did Sabourin sign with WBS, or is he just a camp invitee?

Wow, Sabourin? That's some good depth.

Not many ECHL tenders have NHL experience.

I suspect Jason Jaffray will be added to the list seeing as he was re-signed by Wheeling a little while ago. Unless he'll be reporting to another AHL training camp, which is a possibility I guess.

BTW, there's a guy there, Pascal Morency, who had a 600 PIM season in the QMJHL.

Waaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit a damn second.

Wasn't Joe Exter a freakin goalie?

Why is he listed as a RW for the training camp roster???

Did he all of a sudden just switch positions?

Hey just wondering if anybody knows anything about Cliff Loya, D, went to my high school so I tried to follow him but lost track. I know he played at Maine and was in the Blackhawks system for a bit. Does anyone have a scouting report on him,.

from the info I can find on the guy, he seems to be a lot like Darcy Verot, He suffered a broken ankle last year while playing with Flint in the UHL, but I'm also pulling for this kid. gotta hate the fact that his Q record for PIMs in a season was broke the year after he set the record though

EDIT: he also played 2 years of junior with Fleury in Cape Breton
