Congrats guys, I hope you get back on track soon! Although Brown may have gotten away with one on that first goal.
I haven't seen the game yet, but I will take a cheap one at this point. Kings haven't gotten a bounce or call in a while.

Probably shouldn't have said horrible there, and ya honestly Brown might have gotten away with one there.

24:47 and two seconds behind Doughty.

I liked that Stevens took the TO with 35 seconds left to rest Kopitar. With Richards out he didn't want to risk. This is something that I always disliked about Murray - in last two minutes when it's most important, he puts Lewis, Clifford and Hunter out there, when he has Kopitar and Richards on the bench. Yeah, taking timeout with 30 seconds left might look like a drastic measure to rest your best players (forwards, defensemen and goalie) and say a few words, but every detail counts when it comes to winning.

You can really see Kopi huffing and puffing during that timeout. Everybody else was like normal!

Not a great game considering CBS is the worst team in the league but some minor positives to take out of this game

At arguably the low point of the season Captain Brown steps up and plays his best game of the year. He was driving the net, grinding in the corners, leading by example. Gets rewarded with a goal and an assist, but it was a product of his hard work. This is huge.

Johnson was skating really well, made some nice plays with the puck.

Kopitar continues to be very good, the guys controls to the corners, he just needs some help from those around him.

Clifford was grinding, skating, shooting, controlling the puck, probably his best game of the year.

Goalie interference? I have seen million of those this season that were much worse and there was no goalie interference. Because of that I lowered my own expectations for this particular penalty to be given. In a way, it makes sense. If there is no goal, goalie interference is supposed to be only when you send the forward to the penalty box for 2 minutes. Was that interference a 2 minute penalty? Not even close. If a goal is scored, there can be a two minute penalty or not.

I would be pissed off if that one was called goalie interference, since it is obvious that just player having one foot in the goal crease is not enough. I watched replay of Columbus feed and the announcers were such homers, that I can understand why some Columbus fans believe that there was something wrong. The reality is, that in that case it would not be called 95 times out of 100, so I wouldn't say that Brown got away with anything.

A win is nice.

Just need to peel of 8 more in a row to get back in contention.

(Yes, I know the standings are much closer but I'd rather not have to sweat the playoffs).

Columbus may have the worst record but they have been playing better of late and beat Vancouver the other night. I am glad we won and scored a couple of goals. It wouldn't of been pretty heading into Joe Louis with a loss, especially if it was a shutout.

I have a feeling that it's going to be close with most of the teams, the conference is tight. We WILL be sweating...

Hopefully this win is the end of the slump and that we don't have anymore slumps this season. I rather the last 2 months of the season just be juggling for position within the top 8.

Great game by Brown and Kopitar. Lewis' best game of the season. Much better than Hunter. 44D gets rewarded for a puck on net, nice. Great to see a W!

I didn't watch the third because I felt I was getting too negative, but I'll catch the replay later tonight. Glad they were able to finally stop the bleeding.

I would like us to win a Pacific division title for once. This is our last chance since everything will change next year. It's pathetic that this franchise doesn't have a single division title (Pacific era) in its resume.
