That injury he suffered last year has effected him ,, He is brutal this year
Nielsen is having so so year but I have always like his game. Isles dont have C depth to afford to trade him though
Maybe in a video game ,, But on the ice Okposo has been downright brutal this year
To much of a high risk to suck to waste good assets on
If you are gonna comment on the isles, could you at least do your homework first?
Streit-coming off major shoulder surgery and struggling badly. But,since the isles have 4 other veteran blueliners about to become ufas this July,it's unlikely the isles even try to move him.
Neilsen-reportedly wants an extension. If he signs a team friendly deal,I expect he'll stay.
Okposo-had a terrible first 14/15 games of the season, playing very timidly.Acted as if he were afraid of re-injuring his shoulder.Cappy sat him for three straight games.Embarrassed him. He's turned his season around
First 15 games:0 goals,3 assists
Last 20 games:8 goals,6 assists
He's once again going to the dirty areas of the ice.3 games ago,he was rewarded for his hardwork:promoted from the 2nd line up to Tavares wing. They look good together.
KO makes $1m this season,$2m next season and $3m in 2013-2014.Isles aren't trading him.
Also, rumor has it Garth Snow is open for business.
Were I Bowman, I would phone him up and ask what's the price for Nielsen and/or Streit
If you listened to Dreger and Botta's interview, you'd have heard that Snow's open to making trades, but Dreger hasn't heard any actual names mentioned.
Isles have 4 pmd knocking on the door at Bridgeport and 4 vet blueliners about to become ufs.Snow is looking for a quality top 4 d-man to join Streit/Hamonic/MacDonald and take pressure off Streit.
Isles impending ufas:
I offered Frolik, Pirri, Morin, 1st round pick for Ryan and they still declined. What would make you think your offer is any better?
I threw Bolland ++ out there for either Getzlaf or Ryan and they said they would only make a trade if Toews, Kane, or Keith were going back the other way.
I think Roy just got injured in the last day or two - possibly a separated shoulder. In addition, Buffalo is not out of the playoffs - if they were to trade Roy it would be for shake up reasons and Buffalo would probably want an NHL capable centerman coming back to them in the trade.
If Roy can stay healthy - which has been a problem - Roy is a legit 2nd line center. Plus he's got a year left on a decent contract - $4M. Acquiring Roy wouldn't prevent StanBow from getting the more pressing need of a 3/4 d-man.

It's tempting ... maybe Pirri, Morin and a 2nd.
I wanted them to trade for Roy before the season began.

I remember someone on here wanting that. And it would be very nice to have another legit center for the 2nd line. But he has a separated shoulder and won't do us any good on the medic's table.

How long is he out for? Maybe the Hawks can get him for a discount since he is injured?
I read to day that ana might be willing to take 2 top prospects and 2 1st picks for either Getlaz or Ryan. I thought I've only heard nhl ready players, etc. Is that too much for Getlaz?
This is exactly what we have and would want to trade for the players were going to get. As long as we re-sign Getlaz its by far worth whoever we would trade and who cares about the picks (we got an extra 1st for Brows, so theres are pick for the '12 draft one year further of progress...).
Even though there are some top prospects we really dont want to give up, we have a lot of them we would still have the normal amount of them left with us and get a player like Getlaz. Thats what I was thinking about when we traded Soupy's 7.1 (2-3 good players instead of 1). Getlaz and Leads for Soupy's 7.1
We still will have plenty of room to get another defenseman and maybe Moen too for 3rd line.
include the goalie deals like Halak or Luongo. Just to let people see what guys really get traded for
this would piss VAN even more
and not sure if they can match all offers. BOS can match Rask, but not sure about VAN. a 1st & 3rd wouldn't hurt us
