At even strength tonight, Mathieu Darche (11:43) played more than Max Pacioretty (10:52)

That is the most telling stat. The one that a GM should look at and ask questions the next morning. Because there's no way it should happen. No way. As if Jim Roberts were to get more ice time than Steve Shutt.

Habs were down a goal playing a 1 man forecheck with 4 people in the neutral zone... Not like if this is anything new, they always do this... But it doesn't work Jacques. Y MARCHE PAS TON CRISS DE SYSTEME A MARDE TU VOIS PAS? ON PERD DES GAMES COMME SA PAS DE BON SENS

That's about the only thing we can say that Martin does right. He is surely great at that!

He's actually right. His job is about piling up wins. Oh wait...

Disappointing loss. Main thing that hurt was the second goal where Emelin passes the puck directly onto Desharnais' stick and DD and Cole both decide they don't want the puck and the some random Flyer comes in and scores. 1 for 9 on the PP is brutal too. Otherwise I thought KaBoom was a lot better the second time around. Must have been because one of them was pinching at all times and the other just played Left D.

17 mins for darche ... -2, 0 hits, 0 shots. Anyone who supports this coaching loses all credibility.

Didn't get a chance to watch the game. By the looks of it, Habs lost in typical Habs fashion.

Did anyone ask Martin why Leblanc was benched after his goal?

That's awesome. My "best live moment" at a Habs game was their 6-5 comeback against the Rangers. Oh, those were the days.

Not sure why we'd need to ask. Whenever he can, he blames youth. So he doesn't want to play to many youth. And Leblanc is super youth. Clear enough?

The guy, with a few exceptions, prefers to live and die with his vets. So be it.

I'll just copy paste what I just wrote in the management thread.

If I was PG I would actually be getting damn mad at Martin.
Wait about 10 games into the season to put his big summer signing on the freaking powerplay. Need a reporter to tell him to put his GM's 4.5M a season acquisition, who is known as a goalscorer, on the PP.
He finally brings in Emelin who everyone was waiting for since god knows how long, he switches him to his wrong side just when he is begining to get confortable. He then decide this is a good excuse to bench him since he mysteriously didn't play well.

He takes PG's biggest trade acquisition never gives him any powerplay time, switch him between center and wing depending on how he feels, gives him grinders to play with as a playmaker and then blames him for not racking up the points. He then decide it would be good for his developement to take off the winger he has been playing his best hockey with and have him carry two borderline NHLers against NHL top lines in a shutdown role as a somophore.

And tonight bench the organisation's recent and highly waited first round pick after he gets his first NHL goal. After he just received a huge standing ovation. At home. While trailing by one goal.

I'm kind of surprised he's playing Kaberle on the PP instead of trying to turn him into a shutdown defenceman.

I'll also add that blaming the young players after a game in wich your vets were clearly the ones struggling is just

Un instant, là. Darche a non seulement joué plus à forces égales que Pacioretty, mais aussi plus que Cole, Plekanec, Cammalleri et AK46 !!

5 Wins in 17 home games is simply inexcusable (worst in the league).

Haha I remember Claude Julien played Andrei Kostitsyn about 3 minutes in that game against Phoenix where he scored his first career NHL goal.

The source of all problems his problems. AK never got over the emotional distress after the way Julien managed his ice time that night...
