Niedermayer ceremony begins at 6:45 Eastern.

Good Lord. An hour and 15 minute long jersey raising ceremony.

I'll be in section 228, hoping to see another Stars win.

Hopefully the B2B won't be too bad for them since they're basically 30 minutes from where they were tonight. Pretty sure they stayed in the same hotel and everything.

Scott Stevens was 40 minutes. I'm sure they'll warm up after the ceremony as well.

The ceremony won't be that long, but the players will warm-up after it and they'll clean the ice.

Makes sense.

Hedberg in net for the Devils. Still no decision on Raycroft or Bachman.

Apparently the NHL has a rule that if a ceremony goes over a certain amount of time and makes the game start late, the team gets fined.. This is great for you guys though since it makes it a 7pm game

Bachman is playing fantastic so far. I love these people on the main board who give him no credit and blame 99% of his success on our defense.

Bachman has been 97% solid but the team D has been quite good too.

This will be a tough one, the best way I can see for Dallas to win this game is to really bring the physicality. New Jersey is not a very tough team, they don't really have anyone who can play that kind of game outside of a couple of players. If Dallas plays the same way they did against the Islanders last night I think they will win.

Stars players just smiling politely and clapping the background.

Can't remember the last time they were the spectators to a pre-game thingy like this.

Oh, this isn't over yet...

Edit. The title fooled me for a sec.

Offtopic: The thing I will always remember first when thinking about Niedermayer:

Remember Nieuwendyk was a teammate of Niedermayer's for a few years in NJ and on the Canadian team, which might have had something to do with it.
