One of our Wild board posters shared this link about it. Story says "supposedly due to academic issues" but later devolves into hearsay about team dissatisfaction about the handling of the Trivino incident.
aaannnd there goes the season. They might have been able to survive the loss of Trivino, but losing Coyle too... Its funny, because for about a year before he arrived all BU fans were hearing was how Coyle was Amonte's cousin and he's been wanting to play at BU since he was a kid, and he comitted on the spot, and he loved it at BU. Somehow in less than 2 years thats changed to he doesn't want to play there anymore. I can't help but wonder if this somehow reflective of Parker struggling to adapt to today's players...
I wouldn't rule out Coyle not seeing a whole lot of time at Saint John. I think the Wild might try to get him in Houston.
I would be incredibly surprised if Coyle didn't receive significant time for Saint John. He's a first round pick that has by no means been disappointing. The kid has played well in BU. He's big, strong, has a mean skating style. He's going to the Q which is probably the easiest transition from College Hockey. I can't see a kid rocking a near point per game in his second year of hockey in the H-East not getting a chance.
