Props to Scotty. He deserves these accolades.

I'm happy for him. He was a tremendous player and did so much for New Jersey and the Ducks.

Question for all,,,,,,,can the Ducks still retire 27 here? I know 8 will probably be the first to be retired but I would be in favor of retiring 27 as well after 8 is complete.

I think we can count on seeing 8 and 27 in the Honda Center rafters within the next decade. Those are the no-doubters. I wonder if we'll ever see 9 or 35.

I doubt that

because Teemu won't retire until he's 60

Teemu's #8 jersey gets retired within one year of his retirement (to make sure he doesn't change his mind and come back ).

Scotty's #27 won't get retired until after he enters HOF in another 4 years or so.

Giguere's #35 may get retired one day after his retirement, but he still have a few more years in the NHL as a backup.

#9 may or may not make it to the rafters one day, but it's a tossup whether Kariya or Ryan will be the name on the back of the jersey ...

8# 27# and 35# will be retired for sure. 9# only if it's Ryan hopefully.

I can tell Scotty's boys wish they were wearing their Cam Fowler jerseys.

Glad to see him honored. Great player for them. Arguably even better then he was for us.

It was awesome
Saw the whole thing on NHLN big props to him and NJ. I think him and Selanne should share the first retired jerseys at Honda Center. He only played a few seasons but won us a cup. Am I the only one who thinks he should have a retired jersey? He's probably the best defenseman I will see in my lifetime and I'm damn proud to say this!!!!

As good as Nieds was, Teemu is and was something else for the franchise, and Teemu's jersey should be the first one raised by itself no questions asked.
