2011-2012 FANTASY LEAGUE Kings Related Questions

How's he looked in camp and preseason? Is he slated for the top line with Kopitar, etc?

From all accounts, he's looks quicker and thinner. He scored the GW goal in Phoenix. He is playing on the top line with Kopitar and Williams.

We haven't seen him in any pre-season games yet,he only one he played was in Phoenix and wasn't televised. That makes it hard to judge, but by all reports he is leaner and faster.

He'll be playing tonight and I'm sure many will be watching closely.

I'm predicting a 30+ goal season for him, as Sydor said he's thinner and faster.

I think he has been one of the stronger players at camp so far. He is a noticeable step faster than last year, and looks very trim.

What I like about Penner so far this pre-season is that he doesn't look lost out there. Last year it wasn't just conditioning, he simply looked lost. He's got a wicked snapshot too which I hope to see more of.

But I'd still like to see him use that big body more. I don't get that at all. Is it just a personality thing (too nice a guy)? I'm not saying he has to throw Kronwall checks but damn hit someone for once.

Since you're talking fantasy the 2 keys to finding good players late are there for Penner-he lost weight and he's in a contract year. Unless you're in a King fan league Penner will either go very late or won't be drafted at all, you wan't to target him late ahead of aging veterans with no upside or long shot prospects. Penner has a track record and all the indicators are there for a good season, top line, improved conditioning and motivated to cash in and leave LA for big money.

Looking at Voynov in my keeper pool, points are all that matters. Whats he looking like? Will he stick? Whats his upside?

He looks great.

Not sure if he sticks if/when Doughty returns.... but he SHOULD.

I think he could score 15 goals and 35 assists in the right situation.

Is Quick still the real #1 ? seems like the battle is on every training camp for 3 years now.

Parse has sucked, but Lewis has been solid as always, probably be holding down 4C. But if the team is largely healthy, Parse won't see the ice much.

Was it generally a good idea to have Stoll on my fantasy team?

No. First of all, he's not very creative in the offensive zone to start with. Now with Mike Richards pushing him out of the top 6 his icetime will go down, his linemates won't be as good and he'll be in a more defensive role. I hope he proves me wrong but I would at the most expect 15G/20A from him this year. He is still a player on the PP though, so if that bounces back he has a shot of putting up some PP points.

Yes and no. Murray has said throughout the preseason that he will go with the hot hand.

I'd be looking for something else for sure, but it's a contract year so who knows what's gonna happen.

I have four goalies; Hiller, Fleury, Rask and Bernier. I consider Bernier the odd one out, do you guys think the same thing?

I agree. If you're in a keeper league Bernier has more value, if not he has none with those goalies.

Hey guys, here in peace. Just wondering how Penner is doing for you guys. Is he expected to have a big year?

He is expected to have a big year, but hasnt really done much so far. Its only been 4 games, so I still believe he will end up somewhere between 20 and 30 goals. Although I am aware of the potential that penner could fail to reach that.
