If he started pounding he probably would have gotten 2 min for roughing and 2 for unsportsmanlike or some other ******** and then we don't get a much needed PP. I'm fine with what he did.

I remember seeing that same kind of pass in youtube from selanne to kariya back in 90's at mighty ducks. They replicated it pretty nice!
