We are keeping it more in there end this second half of the period. This I like to see, but I see our boys getting tired out. They are applying heavy backchecking on our boys with little physicallity in return.
I went there when I was real little with my ahole older cousin. I was just learning to skate, must have been around 1966. The older cousin kept tripping me and shoving snow down my back. It was a great place to skate, just had that magical feel about it.
It really is a great place for kids...I remember learning how to skate there when I was young as well, and also drinking hot chocolate by the big bone fire they usually have. Just a great experience for kids, and pretty much the only place around here like it.
We definatley outplayed them that period. PP's was so-so but overall once we got going we were all over them in their zone. We need to get better quality shots, however, to win this game. Rinne had plenty of easy saves.
Petro not having a good game so far. Seems like everything getting blocked for him so far and he's suffered a couple of giveaways too.
I think Nashville deserves a lot of credit. This has been a pretty fast moving period. Doesn't feel like we outshot them 14-2
Anyone else think Tootoo is a thug?
That really was uncalled for by Tootoo.... that was a very stupid ass penalty he took as well. A good thing we are not great on the PP... and you know they bank on that if they take stupid penalties.
Sure wish we had a great element for the PP. Depressing to see us get them and squander it away.
Rinne really is stealing the show for the Predators without a doubt. We need to park our butts in front of the net and battle for that rebound. Lord knows our boys are big enough for that grinding it out.
I should be happy with a 14-2 shot edge. But, somehow, I know tht a couble key mistakes at the wrong time could lose it, and Rinne is very hard to score against. It's nervous time (as are most Preds' games). The Blues HAVE to dominate puck possession and zone play, AND make few mistakes, to eke out a 2-1 or 1-0 win.

This is exactly how I feel.
On the positive side i think the Perron/Bergland/Stewart line has looked really good tonight
Only four Blues' forwards didn't get a shot on net that period. We're doing great with puck possession and have them playing 'our' game, but I think we need to be a little more patient with the puck and go for quality versus quantity.
I always worry a little in games where Halak doesn't get a ton of work. He seems to be a guy who does better when facing a ton of shots. He looked good on those two chances though
