TVA Sport Launches!

I'm making this thread since nobody did.

Finally an alternative to RDS!

http://tvanouvelles.ca/lcn/sports/no...31-055401.html

-25 games of the Sens
(and they want the Habs too)

-Live UFC matchs

-60 Blue Jays games

-Montreal Top Golf tournament

-Vélirium de Québec(mountain bike tournament that attracts 50 thousand people)

-Quebec Volleyball Open

Plus the news and many other things.

Competition for RDS can't be a bad thing. It'll force them to step up their game.

I want to see some KHL myself.

What I would want TVA to do is contrary to RDS that put second rate teams during junior matchs that instead they would put top notch guys that know their stuff to make sure it's a great sport experience even though they would be covering minor leagues.

My thought too. It would be nice to have a channel to regularly watch our young players.

Babysteps. PKP said he wished down the line to get Habs games. That's always been his goal.

Nah, I wanted more QMJHL, OHL, WHL type games. Games that give us a look into the future.

Yep, I know. Like said, would be nice if RDS had some competitors : Maybe they would see that Brunet is awful.
One thing is obvious though : If the Nordiques come back, TVA Sport will be their official broadcasters, no doubt about it.
I'm surprised they don't have a deal to show 20+ games of the Lightning. With all these Québécois, they would obviously gain many viewers.

Honestly nobody cares about the Blue Jays in Quebec... nobody.

I want selected MLB games + Bulldogs + selected European Soccer (Spanish, English, French, Italian...)

That would be a good start.

KHL was a joke.

Have you read the rest of my post?

Probably some that live near the Ontario border and a few there and here. Not so many, I think.

I think RDS has a deal with the English league, but yeah, it would be awesome if they could show some of the games of the Spanish League. I want to see Barca and Madrid few times a year, which I can only during important events. :\

They should play Q games, it would be a great way to built a fanbase all across the province.

However their crew looks pathetic right now. I guess their analyst and PBP announcer will be Pedneault and Rinfret.

I think they also have Morrisette, Laraque, Brisebois, Ciccone, Perron, Morrisette, Hartley (?). A bunch of SRC/RDS rejects...

How can Perron still have a job on TV? I watched him on LCN a few minutes ago and he is just akward and stupid.

Marlies get TV time in Toronto. It'd be nice to see the Dogs actually get TV time too.

Awesome for Soccer.
Having the Sens game is a start. I'll bet anything they'll be in the bidding once RDS's contract with the NHL runs out for the Habs.
That being said, from what I can tell on the picture, Laraque, Hartley and Perron seem to be present and they're obviously part of the "hockey" crew, so I don't think that is much of an upgrade from RDS, if at all.

If only the Expos were still here. 60 Expos games on TV looks surreal.

- Why not show QMJHL games?
- Why not show some AHL hockey? a.k.a Bulldogs
- Why just limit baseball to the Jays? I personally don't give a crap about the Jays.

It is cool they got soccer though.
