I predict a day in the next two years the Habs will go into the BOSTON GARDENS and destroy the Bruins, 8 fights, Thomas will get run into the back of the net, Chara will get knocked out in front of 21,000 crying Boston fans, Lucic will suffer a broken nose and cheekbone. The Habs win 6-0 and will ALL leave the ice with a finger in the air.
Even in my leafs jersey I would be cheering this!

I don't know if this post will be deleted or not but some people need to pay a bit more attention to this guy, who predicted the Martin firing by Sunday at the latest. He's the one who was feeding info about the Lecavalier trade a couple of years ago, which was confirmed at the time by traditional media...

https://twitter.com/#!/El_Chouin/sta...34065795477504

He's now saying that Bob Hartley was contacted last night and that Gauthier and Molson are in heavy discussions with Patrick Roy.

Bruins fan in peace.

What do you hear about the rest of the coaching staff? Was Martin the only one fired? A close family friend of ours is Randy Ladouceur and hoping he didnt get the boot.

We can have Roy next year. As for JM, I see 3 takers for him in the NHL now: Columbus, Colorado and Los Angeles.

Martin is 1 million richer today ... Can't believe he had a clause that gave 1 million if he was fired

Even if don't really like Cunneyworth, I prefer that they wait until the end of the season to make the better choice (P.Roy, Therrien, Carlisle or another interesting coach that will be fire)

but now there is no more excuses. time for him to put up points. if he doesn't/can't, then we need to ship him out of town asap.

not quite...

Gainey simply removed himself from the limelight & the responsibility of dealing with the press/fans... but from all indications, he's still firmly implanted as a decision maker in the organization, which is our biggest problem imo.

Cunneyworth and Ladouceur are somewhat of a package so te fact that cunneyworth named interim should mean ladouceur safe for now

And then the entire team gets suspended, only the Bruins are allowed to do things like that.

Nope. RL will have a bigger role now likely as the right hand man of Randy C. The Randy's ran Hamilton very well last year and helped the development track of Patches and DD. I wish now we'd let Weber start the year down there last year, the Randy's could have helped him.

Molson will not deliberately let the team tank. No sensible ownership/management team would.

1- there are no guarantees in tanking

2- anything can happen when you make the playoffs

Teams will do what they deem fit to turn things around be more competitive. Hence the Kaberle trade, firing JM... and making sure that Gomez stays hurt all year

Randy Cunneyworth is named interim head coach of the Montreal Canadiens until the end of the season.

stupid we need someone with experience and that can motivate the guys
Strange they wouldn't name Ladouceur to have a french guy?

Maybe Laviolette or Quenneville can be wrestled away from theuir team...
