Saw that on the replay. I wish I hadn't seen the replay so the goal at least looked better. But seeing the replay and that we turned it over that badly made me sick to my stomach.
We can make all the excuses we want, but 3 goals on 9 shots is NOT a stellar performance by an NHL goalie. EVERY TIME Mason plays, it's always "well there's nothing he could do..." "it wasn't all his fault" etc. It gets old.
Sanford plays with the same defense in front of him and manages to win. It's time to cut Mason loose. He may end up the best goalie of all time, but he's never going to do it for us here.
I once had a hockey coach when I was a kid that yelled at us if we attempted wrap-arounds saying it was wasting an offensive zone chance and just handing it to the goalie and it doesn't work in the higher leagues........I always thought he was full of it.
Give me a break, you must have missed the 4 games prior to that we we score one goal as a team. All I'm saying is that you can't take the losing culture out of the team without gutting it. What is our record again this season ? I want Nash to do well, so we can get a huge amount of assets in return .

I'm not saying Mason is innocent, but at the same time, we're not doing anything to help him, either.
Better defense means Mason doesn't give up as many goals. A better goalie means the defense can be bailed out of its mistakes. Better both is what we truly need so we can focus on getting the offense into gear.
Time to head out for evening plans. I fear TB is going to win but I hope I have to eat some hearty crow. I'll be listening on the local radio as I drive, though.
