As for Varly...I wonder how severe this "back strain" is? If they're not going to bring in an emergency backup of some kind I'm calling BS on this so-called "back strain."
I personally believe it is more of an "excuse" as to why they are not playing Varlamov v his former team. Us Avalanche fans know Varlamov is due for a game off. And especially since he will be dressed and ready to go as the back-up, methinks it is justification for giving him the night off. I am not worried.
ok, this is kind of off-topic, but "stretching" is kind of a no-no these days, isn't it? Warm up before a game, stretch after.
HECK NO. You need to warm-up/stretch before any activity. Stretching afterwards is key, too. But you need to stretch after your initial warm-up before getting into action. Granted, this is coming from an ex-dancer and diver, lol. But really, you do need to warm-up and stretch before to prevent injury.
Maybe hockey is different? I wouldn't think, but who knows.
