Markus Naslund. Canucks goals and points scoring records. All-time hat-tricks leader. Longest tenure as captain. Pearson trophy, Hart runner-up, near the top of the league in scoring for a few years in a row. First team all-star LW for three consecutive years.

Add Greg Adams.

It's Linden. Should've been Linden at 1, 2 and then 3. I don't know how he wasn't top 3. Blows my mind.

But yeah, Linden AINEC.

Linden, for the same reasons that I voted for him in the #3 spot.

BTW: Here's the last time we did one of these polls:

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=592863

The Sedins have skyrocketed from 16-17 to 1-2.

Probably the same reason Bure keeps getting ranked higher than he should.

If the Sedins retired tomorrow they would not be deserving of their placement #1 and #2 in this list. However, even conservative projections for the next few years will see them far surpass Linden and Naslund in most stat categories.

1 Hart or Pearson
1 Art Ross
1 Clarence Campbell trophy
1 Presidents' trophy
each

2 NHL 1st team all stars for Henrik
1 NHL 1st team all star for Daniel

Who, individually, has a claim right now over either of the Sedins to beat them out?

These polls are very unfortunate for Naslund. Less team success but who can blame him for Cloutier? Didn't have another top 5 Canuck playing with him. Also got robbed of a PEAK season because of the lock-out, otherwise he'd have an extra 80gp + 80p and POSSIBLY a deep playoff run. But oh well.. this isn't a "what could've been" poll.

I'll go with Naslund. Ignoring the hypothetical gains, he had 3 years as the clear best LW in the game AND another 40 goal season on top of that. Won the Pearson. No playoff success though, which will hurt his case.

Based on what? In a TOP FIVE ALL TIME sequence of rankings, longevity doesn't matter if you're racking up games as something other than the primary force on the team. Replace Linden's name with any other during his second stint and you wouldn't blink twice at his accomplishments there. Any season where the player isn't a top force, or at the very least secondary, on the team should be ignored in the top 5.

ie. who cares at all if Henrik scored 30-40 points for three seasons before the lock out? A player will be remembered by his peak and prime, not the seasons in which he is developing/finishing off his career.

Trevor Linden, yo.

It was obvious Sedins, Bure, Naslund and Linden would be the top-5, it was just a matter of the order.

I don't agree with Bure being higher than Linden, but Linden is easily number 4 here.

Voted for Linden at #3... So Linden now...

Just has done so much for the team and the league.

Bure was better skill wise, but I just loved Linden more. I don't know how you anyone could dislike him. Class act, and not a good player too (Just not as good and exciting as Bure)

When you phrase a question "Top Canuck of all-time" there is only one way to answer it and it always ends with Linden.

Then what makes someone a "top Canuck" is clearly different for all. However, if you isolate all of the players' accomplishments/stats with the Canucks and put them in an all time list of the NHL, I have no doubt that the Sedins, Bure and Naslund would all be placed above Linden. That's how I voted.

Art Ross + Hart + playoff success will do that.
