What does this mean for guys like Hamilton, Strome, Huberdeau and others ? Does this mean they will be going to WJC even if the NHL starts Dec 15 ?
If the NHL starts on Dec 15 im pretty sure RNH will be with the oilers, but what about the others on Team Canada?
I would guess that guys that are long shots (Strome for example) would be left to play in the WJC, while a guy like Huberdeau might miss out. There is no way to be certain though, teams will probably have different perspectives.

each team in the NHL has a list of 2 players playing junior that if the lockout ended they would have to attend their 2 week training camp
strome, huberdeau, hamilton, reilly, schieffly im pretty sure are all on the list.. however that means guys like yakupov grigorenko are too i think. Now im not sure if some teams will be realistic and say you are not going to make this team go experience the world juniors.. but schieffley who almost made the Jets last year will probably be expected to be at camp.. huberdeau and strome might be allowed but given that their drafted by florida and the islanders i would think they would want those players there. hamilton is drafted by boston though and they have GOOD defense so he might be allowed.. i dont know its tough to say but i know teams have players they requested 2 players i believe and those guys are on it so we could lose the core of our team but it will affect all the top teams russia sweden usa etc..

Rielly - Hamilton
Harrington - Ouellet
Dumba - Reinhart
7th D
Subban
Binnington?
I just remembered this tournament will be on the big ice in Europe, which makes me hate the idea of taking a guy who is a grinder type and that can't skate.... Drouin and MacKinnon on the big ice with Huberdeau could do wonders, but it's something HC will pass up I think... Taking 3 scoring lines would be great, but we'll see... Only one draft eligible on that roster too...
Id love to see the 4th line consist of Jenner at center with Wilson on one side of the wing. I remember last year Jenner had some pretty big hits so a line with Jenner and Wilson hitting and being the energy line would be good for the team.
i'd love for danault to make...but he doesn't seem to get a lot of attention.
does anyone know whether tsn is going to replay the games in prime time - or are you out of luck unless you get up at 4 am?
Thats what i was thinking too. It would be pretty hard for me to get up at 4 am but im pretty sure tsn would replay them through out the day. Its huge in canada and im pretty sure they know people don't want to get up that early so they will replay them. Danault should make the team this year, he was a last minute cut last year and almost made it so if he plays well i cant see why he wouldnt make it this year.
It's unfortunate, but defense is the biggest depth area for Canada in this age group.
Losing a top forward would be far more detrimental. The 2012 draft class is not great on forward skill. Tom Wilson is the only first rounder even being talked about making the team. Hudon is a fifth round pick and Sissons is the second round. Those are the only 3 probably being considered and none of them are likely in the top 2 lines. As well, only 1 or 2 of them will probably make the team. This is why I think we will see more undrafted players on the squad this time around than we usually would. I don't know if we have ever had more than 2 up front in any recent year. MacKinnon and Drouin should be a lock given their production, chemistry and showing in the SSS, especially on a line with Huberdeau. Monahan should at a minimum be the 13th forward. Shinkaruk should get a very long look as well.

I think it depends on how his injury is coming along.

Every year a player or two will make it, and the casual fan will say "Who?". Danault may be one of those under the radar types but to me he definitely deserves to be there in a bottom six role (lockout or not).
I cant wait to start following everything about this tournament from the camps to the pretourney to the actual tourament. And hopefully it drowns out the mindlessness of lockout talk (I follow it, its important, but this is way better).
Drouin Huberdeau MacKinnon top line would be sooo sick
then scheif rnh strome lol.... either way you spin it Canada will have 2 very very lethal lines followed by 2 more lethal lines, going to be fun seeing how the team is made
