Hockey executives tend to have a little more foresight than "not playing well as of late".

hmm I mean I like Danault, don't see him play all that much but I do like the fact that he can hit and score. He was one of the last forwards to get cut last year so I mean eh I duno he didn't make it last year and he didn't do anything in the SuperSeries but you never know. I'm saying he doesn't make it.

Me too, he just missed it last year and he's having a great year. I believe 2nd in points in the OHL as a defender and 3rd in the chl

I was talking about his 17-year-old year because somebody had wondered if RNH was captain in Red Deer, as in their second years in the league.. I don't care about how old he was to start the season, I'm talking about birthyears.

I hope they use Strome - RNH - Scheifele and Reilly - Hamilton as their first line. Much like TSN has said I think goal tending will be Canadas weakest link, or maybe biggest question mark. I hope they use Malcolm Subban. He played so well in the 2012 Canada/Russia challenge. I love his poise confidence and natural athleticism. I think he is by far the best choice for Canada and I hope he plays the majority of the tournament.

He didn't do anything offensively. But HC will take him for his energy/two-way play. In the CANRUS I sat in the Canadian defensive zone for one game and he really exemplified the "heart and soul" type player.... Blocking shots, throwing hits and will win the big draw.

I don't know how much time he'll get to play offensively, but he's a good player for the 4th line, where he will be for the WJC imo.

Hudon-Strome-Mackinnon
Monahan-Jenner-Rattie
Wilson-Danault-Ritchie

Spares: Mcneill/Puempel

Hamilton-Reilly
Ouelette-Harrington
Murphy-Reinhart
Dumba

Subban
Brossoit/Binnington (Not sold on who I'd pick yet, depends who's hottest coming in)

1: AHL
5: QMJHL
11/12: OHL
5/6: WHL

Might be a little OHL heavy, solid numbers from Q, not sure what WHL players would have a shot over any of those listed..
Very realistic and accurate roster IMO. I believe it's very close to what we will see... McNeill over Wilson for me.

They normally are high on OHL players anyways, and once again there are plenty to chose from... 10-11 is probably a good number.

I don't know which WJC I'm more excited about, this year or the chance to possibly watch Drouin, McDavid, Ekblad, Fucale next year !

I haven't seen him play but I was wondering why Damon Severson hasn't had any talk being invited to Team Canada camp. Isn't he considered the top shutdown defensmen on one of the best defensive teams in the WHL. The team allows 27 shots per game and has a top 5 PK. It isn't as if he hasn't been on Team Canada's radar, he played well for Canada at the under 18.

Any dub followers care to explain?

He has been struggling this year, I love the player, but Hockey Canada tends to go with the hot hand, so I doubt we'll see him there.

Bournival was the last cut in 2011's team and made the team the following year, same thing for Leblanc a year before.

Trust me, Danault is a lock, barring any injury. Not many players can bring his skating and his versatility on that team, besides Laughton(versatility) and Jenner(both).

I know I'll repeat myself, but Hudon is a lock for that team. McKenzie has him on the 2nd line, so the possibility of him not making the team is close to none, barring any injury

I noticed that tomorrow's announcement of the selection camp invitees will be streamed live on tsn.ca

Is this something new this year or was I just not paying attention?

They're so desperate for hockey they'll show anything. Even sadder, I'll watch.

I'd love Sproul to make this team but doubt he makes it.

I don't personally see Strome being 3rd line C if Monahan is on second line.. this is Hockey Canada after all .

I could sort of understand the naming of the team... but a selection camp roster!! good grief I think TSN is going just a little wonky... I blame it all on that dweeb Darren Dreger.
