No, it's not only journalists asking for a French speaking coach. Will be interesting to see how Molsons react.

Everybody has varying agendas
This group happened to find a soapbox
I wonder if they watch hockey?
Also, by extension, I wonder if they are aware that the 3 coaches with the most cups in the history of the organisation are Bowman; Blake and Irvin?

So wait, what more would a french or bilingual coach bring to the table? Marc Trestman doesn't speak french, and I don't think it hindered his ability to win games/be a great coach here in Montreal..

Why do the Habs have to be the only team in Montreal to have a francophone/bilingual coach?

My friend works at Société Saint Jean Baptiste and he always tells me about this stupid group of **** and intolerant *******s. They started complaining to my friend because he had a Bench t-shirt. They said it was the wrong language. Allez chier ********.

While I agree that he should learn French, give him the ****ing time to do so. Also, don't ****ing blame the Habs because Quebec can't produce quality players at the same rate as it did before. Cunney just moved to Quebec. Give him some ****ing time.

Jean-Paul Perreault, the president of the mentioned group Impératif français, is actually a very nice guy but when it comes to cultural and language issues, let's just say that he lives in the past.

Here he is in '07, that is to say 2007.

I wonder, if Mike Babcock is available and he's willing to coach this team, would they still hire a french guy?... It's 2011...grow some ****s the french stuff is done. You play to win, no one speaks french in hockey, like Gordie Howe said, it's ENGLISH & Profanity! Just to please maybe 20 guys in a media room sheesh i'm sure fans wouldn't mind if this team would win only these die hard separatists.

They do realize that Geoff Molson, the individual, is not the same thing as Molson, the beer company, right?

Don't worry this international multi-million (billion?) dollar company probably won't go bankrupt because of a few yahoos.

Hockey and victory are the only languages that unite both solitudes. That's what I want the Habs to do.

that's the crap that makes us look like a bunch of tools all over Canada and North America.

I agree in being abble to have a service in French in a restaurant or something like that in Quebec but i don't give a rats ass if the hbas coach speaks French English spanish or even russian.

If the guy can get you wins why should you care? Anyway the press conference are always lame in French or English.

I'm french and i say **** this if we can win with an english coach there's no problem with me.
