I laughed hard at the guy saying Price is a bum and that there's 20 goalies in the league that would do a better job. Then he says Habs should trade him for a Top 6 forward.

Funnily enough, if Price can fetch a Top 6 forward, considering the low value of goalies, he must be pretty good

And for people bashing Price, just wait till he bolts for free agency, and this team has an average goaltender.
Time to make a Roy trade. Let's trade Price to LA for Jonathan Bernier and 2 third liners.

I'm not exactly bashing Price. And he is a good regular season goalie. Yet, he's top 10 for me. Not top 5. And still unproven in the playoffs.

I can't even tell you who was our best line tonight because they all played like ****. Cammy was soft and uninterested as usual, Plek didn't stand out beside a couple of nice plays defensively and the Cole line was invisible. Talking about Cole, that was some of the biggest ******** calls I've ever seen...Did Cole sleep with Chris Lee's wife or something?

PS: Campoli with the Bergeronesque defense

Gill third star haha.

Team generated a ton of chances, but gave up a lot too. Growing pains, growing pains.

Im willing to give Cunneyworth some time before judging to much. Was ridiculous that a coach was fired on game day. If anything it should have been yesterday to allow him some time with the team.

However the worrisome fact i find is that the defense as it is becoming more veteran is actually playing much worse than the rookies were. Simply too much of the same thing. That defense is Charmin soft. There is no room on one defense to have Subban, Campoli, Kaberle, Weber, Diaz. There are all just pillows and average to poor defensively.

Ramo?

But yeah, this team with average goaltending would be fighting the Bluejackets for last place.

I can't believe how stupid Campoli was on that 4th goal.... It was like watching Subban trying to beat 3 guys.
If we can just get rid of some of these contracts at the trade deadline... It would be great!
Don't pull another Bob Gainey.
AK, Gill , Moen, Darche have trade value

Darche had his best game in a while, played like an actual energy player, I think that was our best line tonight.

Cunneyworth is only a seat filler right now, we need to find a real coach.

I probably would have walked out on the third period, it is like they forgot how to play hockey. How is it every one of our supposedly top line players looks like ahl material?

We'll give Cunneyworth some time but there are a few things I did not like.

First, I hope the lovers of entertainment found this game more exciting than the last few. Can't say I did.

Second, the long passes through the neutral zone in the third were stupid. I don't think one of them connected. If that's the new system, we're screwed. But I don't think it is. This is where structure is important. JM preaches short passes and puck support for a reason. RC needs to do the same, or this club is going nowhere. Even when you're down by two there is room for patience. These low-percentage plays got the Habs precisely nowhere except right back in their own zone.

And now a long road trip with a shorthanded roster. If I was RC I was wondering if I weren't being set up to fail.

(I could be facetious and note that given how the team gave up against a tired New Jersey team in the third, they stopped playing for RC a lot more than they stopped playing for JM.)

Well that's the defense Gauthier had in mind. Knowing Markov wouldn't start, he had exactly that defense in mind. That's TOTALLY Gauthier.

That bad play by campoli really hurt. Then so many missed opportunities where we dont even hit the net.

I'm normally optimistic but I'm about to give up on this season.

The Devils put on a clinic on how to protect a 3rd period lead tonight.. Been so long since I've seen that from our Habs I forgot what it looked like..

look gorges, who should be captain said it best - that half the team is not playing a team game and is disinterested - and they need to get their egos in check. it starts with scammaleri who seems to have been the 'least' disappointed jacqula was flushed

Hab fans better get used to it, he's been a turnover machine all his career.
