Historically the Sharks have been the Predators' bane, though the trend has been somewhat lessened in the past two years. I think we play the Red Wings very well even during their "dynastic" play, but no Red Wings fan would ever call the Preds a rival given the original 6 hubris and the fact we're a fairly recent expansion.
I voted both of those teams. Ducks hatred will be a short-lived event in my opinion. Hopefully next year you won't see me shouting "f-ing Lidstrom / Selanne" at the TV as they both retire after 350 seasons.

The Stars we already have a little hate for from the Tootoo/Robidas/Modano thing. I think it will heat up again quickly, especially from their end since Nashville will now be one of their closest rivals (about 30 miles farther than St. Louis but maybe an easier drive). And the Jets hate will go up simply because of obnoxious Canadians if the way they handled the relocation on HF boards is any indication.

A rivalry is typically thought of as a two way street. Ask Detroit fans who their rivals are--we're not on the radar. We've been a speed bump to them. Annoying at times, but irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
Our closest thing to true rivalry is Anaheim and Columbus. There's a true mutual dislike from top to bottom for those teams.

agreed.. but its "our most hated rival" and thats detroit.. although it may not be the same for them IMO
My hatred for Chicago has actually surpassed my loathing of Detroit. The bandwagon ********** that invade Bridgestone are just terrible. They bring more drunk idiots than any other team in the league.
I've always hated the Blackhawks since the 80's when I lived in St. Louis... But then again I always hated the other Norris Division teams because of the old divisional playoff format!
Then its not a rivalry, that's just one sided hate.
sorry I dont care what you guys say... detroit is our rival. returned or not, its our rival. yeah you can boil it down and say its one sided but they are still our rival.. ask the average preds fan
Hate to broad brush, but Blues fans are by far the worst ... rude, obnoxious, drunkards. Sometimes I think opponents' fans are so boorish in Nashville (Preds and Titans games) because of the whole Southern hospitality thing. Had a Ravens fan tell me once that "you guys are too *********g nice down here. I think many of them are already boorish but we don't pour beer on them or go back at them like say, Chicago fans in the UC. Glad we're the better people but I think that's a factor.
My most hated (inpo):
Detroit: favorite team pre-Predators arrival ... unable to like both like many because they are in the division / conference. Probably would have been doable if they were in the East. Can't stand them now and get angry at all the Predwings.
St. Louis: hate the team, hate the fans, hate the city, hate the "Let's ... Go ... Bluuuuuuues" cheer. Hate that so many Blues fans show up at BA ... but I'd want out of St. Louis too.
Columbus: HATE them ... hate Ohio State with a passion. Little brother syndrome. Good rivalry though as they really hate the Predators.
Anaheim: definitely a good, growing hateful rivalry from last season. Corey Perry ... and the worst whiny Captain in the league, Getzlaf.
Vancouver: most annoying fans in the league, Alex Burrows, Ryan Kesler, dshiddy ... enough said.
Looking forward to Winnipeg and Dallas in our "conference" ... really liked going to ATL for Preds games against the Thrashers so that will be a good building rivalry that should have been cultivated when they were in ATL. Agree on the Stars/Robidas-Tootoo.

exactly what I'm saying. detroit is our biggest rival, but there are teams I hate more like VAN, STL, ANA.. those teams I wish the worst for. I have a little respect for DET.
also just to add, I went to STL a couple of years ago and will never be back.. preds won I think 5-3.. something along those lines. well on the walk back to the hotel, lets just say there were many disturbances from blues fans.. I was wearing my mustard jersey.. not to mention all the rudeness inside the arena. ill never go back.
As a Blues fan, I do come in peace. Sadly, we have many drunken ******** here, but were the home of a major beer distributor, so you expect much less.
I actually respect your team, with the exception of Tootoo. Weber, Suter, and Rinne are just hard to play against and I swear these games are always one goal games between us.

other than tootoos occasional exaggeration, we couldn't be any cleaner probably.. and every team has a guy like toots just about.. we dont whine, complain, etc.
