Just because there were players that were younger than him, doesn't mean they're better than him.

Back then teams drafted players past the age of 22 and they ended up being better choices.

The older players only spent an extra year or two developing, so the scouting staffs learn more about them.

Beyond that, some players just get their **** together a while later.

Judging this as a horrible pick in the 1st just because of age is not the right judgement.

How about this: Name ten players that have made an impact that were selected after Trevor Lewis.

Also, I'm glad Lubo isn't wearing that disgusting _ucks jersey anymore.

I don't know why anyone would be upset about this pick.

It WASN'T off the board. We have an organizational need for his positon, and he can go straight to the AHL.

This is exactly why I said Pearson might be the pick, and am fine with it

He will play Big minutes for the Monarchs as well. They have like ZERO skilled LW's.

King is not going to get sent down, unless he completely melts down.

Since I watch other sports, I find it hilarious when some people don't like it when their team drafts a 20-year old.

It's the draft. Give it more than 5 minutes before it's judged.

good pick, I was thinking they might take yet a another defensemen, which we already have an over abundance of.

We need wingers.

It was a very very weak draft, the Kings drafted a guy who will be at the AHL level next year, not too bad..

Food for thought on Pearson, he was named a second team OHL post-season all-star. By comparison Nail Yakupov was a third team OHL post-season all-star. I'm not saying Pearson is a better player overall, but he did get a higher all-star nod by OHL GMs.

He was also third in OHL scoring, just behind Tyler Toffoli and Michael Sgarbossa (who was undrafted by signed with San Jose in 2010 and was traded to Colorado).
