Can't imagine they would, as you know, they are top of the West right now.

Leads me to wonder if "future considerations" are ever actually paid, and if so, does a player's post-trade performance weigh into it?

Like FF said, though, it's not like the Wild are hurting right now anyways, sans-Nystrom. They're doing just fine on their own.

But damn if Nystrom isn't one of the biggest steals of the year, if not THE biggest!

Does, but I'm not sure they would've even considered the talking of "we'll give you ______ if he's co-leading you in goals by the end of the year."

I'd imagine all they could get out of it would be a draft pick?

Thats an amazing quote. Nystrom alone has made our bottom 6 respectable.

Good to see both our top lines produce tonight. We'll win most games both of those lines produce (duh 2 goals).

Nystrom is the offense of the bottom six. If you take away his goals and assists off of his goals, the bottom six probably has maybe eight points.

Thus me saying "he alone makes it respectable."

Dvorak and Fiddler combined have 6 goals...more than the Ducks bottom 6 combined at 4. 4th line has 14 points by itself.

According to TSN, the Stars did not have a single 5 on 3 chance before tonight's game.

Not sure if Razor ever mentioned that, but, wow, way to capitalize!

Also, Selanne finally passed Modano on the all-time points list, to the surprise of no one.

Lastly, we're now 4-0-2 in our last six vs. the Ducks. Here's hoping that trend continues!

Two of the most painful losses I've ever endured as a Stars fan.

Corry Perry is a punk ass ***** but dear god I wish we had drafted him when we had the chance.

Nystrom is a witch. You can tell he's oozing confidence. It makes all the difference in his play.

Bachman is no longer instilling me with great confidence but he did well enough to win. That's really all you can ask of your 3rd goaltender.

Good to see Loui, Benn, Ribiero and Goligoski on the score sheet. All were struggling a week ago.

Can't wait for the next Ducks game. Love the chippiness. I won't miss these mofo's at all next season.

Watching the highlights, sure seems like there was a lot of people not wearing jerseys in the lower bowl stands. New potential fans trying out hockey?

Hey, the more the merrier!

http://espn.go.com/nhl/attendance

Dallas is still second last in the NHL for average attendance, so whoever's in those seats doesn't matter to me.

Me either, I was just curious if anyone noticed an influx of newer non-regulars in tonight's game. I think it'd have been really cool if that was a lot of "on the fence about hockey" fans' first game tonight. Perfect game to hook new fans.

Folks in the lower bowl have always been less likely to wear jerseys. Especially when the Stars were a hot ticket. They were there to see and be seen.

Then add on top of that I'd wager the percentage of Stars fans that wear jerseys to games in general has to be one of the lowest in the NHL due to how much our jerseys suck.

Also it can be difficult to tell who is even wearing a jersey since they're so drab.

So... I wouldn't jump to any conclusions regarding new fans.

That's true. Good points.

Watching the game again on DVR, Benn really had such a magnificent game. Maybe its just the Ducks horrid defense, but I think we take his skating and puck handling for granted sometimes. His ability to weave across the blue line and draw defenders onto him is amazing. If he ever figures out how to be a bonafide play-maker in his career, watch out.

love beating up on Anaheim.

Who would have thought on a line with OTT and Morrow, Ribeiro would be the one in Perrys and getzlafs face all night.

Its always exciting when the power play scores twice and we get even strength goals from our top 3 lines.

They scored two lucky (well, smart lucky) goals on the PP, if not for thatm we dominated them..

Second win, after we got 3 or more goals against.

Bachman had a under-rated game in my opinion. Besides the Temmu goal, he didn't have a chance on the others. He was solid tonight! I'm much more confident with Bachs in nets then Raycroft and I think the team feels the same way.
