If i remember correctly didn't we get Ferriero as a free agent because Phoenix couldn't be bothered with him in the first place? maybe PHX had 49 contracts or something, and Ferriero was the odd man out for whatever reason?

the other GM's are aware of his waiver status, and if they really wanted Ferriero before this call up, they can just wait until the Sharks put him back on waivers. He's goin' back on waivers. I've seen this guy come and go the last couple seasons, I hope he comes up and produces and sticks. I wouldn't put any money on it though. So, If not when Marty gets better then as soon as he makes some mistakes that ultimately costs goals against/games. Then that GM can pick him up for nothing and only have to cough half the salary, instead of giving up a perfectly good draft pick for a guy that's proven to be a project.

It'd be his full pro-rated salary unless Ferriero was brought up again via re-entry. Not that that changes anything, just wanted to clarify.

Gotcha. It should be edited, though; stealing a Havlat avi is something I wouldn't put past SSG at this point...
