Bryce Salvador

Anybody been watching this guy? He's a UFA and would probably be a lot cheaper than some of the other guys mentioned.

Considering the playoffs he's having, he'll be getting more $$$ than expected. Nooooo.

He's going to get paid a lot more than he is worth. Also he is playing in the final this year which means he will be worn out come playoff time next season. We all saw how worn out the Flyers were in 2011. Lastly he isnt getting any younger.

But not the same money we've been considering for Suter or Weber

Do not want. Makes good plays, but also makes a lot of terrible ones and would win the competition for the slowest player on the Flyers team any day of the week.

Salvador doesn't equal Pronger.

No. I think this is his last go around. You know, when old players who haven't won a cup yet finally get to the finals so they put everything they got into the run and come out of it super worn out? Yeah I think he's having one of those.

I know its hard to pay attention to the Devils some time because they'be typically been such a boring team, even when we play them 6 times a year. However, Salvador has been a solid player for many years now. I would love to have him on the team on a two year contract max. I didn't realize he's 36, but age is not as much of an albatross as people think.

None of this 35+ contract crap matters until CBA is in place, a lot of it could change

I'm not saying he is equal to Pronger, but I'd take him any day over Carle. He also is 100 times tougher than limp wrist Carle. We need to toughen up and upgrade our defense and I think he could do both for a reasonable price.

Exactly, a two year deal at about 3.5 per for use as a 5th Dman in Salvador would be FAR better than 5 years @ 4.5 for Carle.
