No. It was a bunch of pond hockey players that lost to the Rangers.

That actually looks quite good. It wont be a classic, but looks like a good film to watch.

Hockey really needs another classic

I'm confused. People are describing this as another American Pie reunion, yet they're saying it'll be funny and they're excited to see it. What gives?

This has the makings of a solidly funny film that happens to have hockey as a main component. I for one, can't wait.

Filmed in Winnipeg. Know someone who played on one of the teams in the movie. They had hockey tryouts and I believe that they made up 6 teams to use while filming.

From the first paragraph:

"You know how I know Jay Baruchel is really, really Canadian? Well, beyond the maple leaf he has tattooed on his body, he just finished making the hockey comedy Goon with fellow Canuck Evan Goldberg, and it's not just the next movie on his list, but a passion project. Not to traffic in ugly stereotypes, but there aren't many people who weren't born above the 49th parallel who care about hockey that much."

A liitle factoid for the Author:

Most Canadians were born (and live) below the 49th parallel.

I thought SWS was rumored to be in the new Kevin Smith movie "Hit Somebody". Did it get renamed to this?

I read somewhere that Kevin Smith originally wanted Sean William Scott to play the main character in Hit Somebody, but Scott had already decided to be in this movie.

looks tremendous, and Stifler will be great in the role, looks like a very good cast all around but Alison Pill is not hot whatsoever. She got the head the size of a ****ing basketball.
