US point man on the power play keeps throwing silly head fakes. He's gonna get clocked with that crap in the bigs.

Trouba looks HUGE out there.

Rus. Leading 3-0, Kuz pointless thus far....but the Swiss are out working and out shooting the Russians....the Russian goalie Vasilevsky has been great, this kid is climbing the draft ranking with every save.

Underwhelmed by Kuznetsov thus far, Grigorenko has really impressed as has Yakupov and the Rus goalie.

Kuz also started slow last WJC if I recall. Once the games got meaningful then he stepped up.

Kuz needs to quit playing with the puck.

Yeah, he's been too casual at times (he'll fit right in!). He's also made some pretty nifty feeds but that line has had no finish.

Loved seeing Yakupov crash the net like that. Kid is really explosive.

Kuznetsov seems to be a man for the big occasion. Last year when Russia made come back wins against Finland(QF), Sweden(SF),Canada(F) it was his leadership and him just turning it on that gave the team belief. I think we can expect much of the same this year, his line mates just need to click with him. Russia has a few players not really known who are high quality.

Well the U.S. just s^%$ the bed against Finland. If there's a silver lining, no Caps prospects involved, though would love to pry Tinordi away from the Canadiens.

Kuznetsov is so smooth with the puck. Just going through players. Bit unfortunate to not have scored yet, but he's highly skilled as we've seen.

Anyone of three or four Russians have elite NHL scoring talent.

It's only a matter of time before Bragin loads up their top six IMO. Kuznetsov has set up his linemates quite a bit the first two games but can't finish for them. He's not a natural sniper to thrive in such a setting. Put him with Yakupov & Khokhlachev and maybe Russia will finally start to play with a better rhythm offensively. The CSKA line is their best by far.

This year's team isn't as deep as last year no matter how it's put together. Their goaltending has been solid but we'll see how that and their defense holds up against Sweden. I don't think they have a chance ultimately unless those top-end guns are really going.

Grigorenko smoked in open ice and couldn't leave the ice on his own. Left ankle injury it looks like. Kuznetsov takes his place at center. Yakupov sets him up for a backhander PPG.

nice finish. Sad to see for Grigorenko. He's got a lot of talent. Looks like a bit of a smaller Malkin.

I don't think Yakupov is ready for the NHL. Bit small. Tons of talent though.

Yakupov's back isn't 100% so he's not quite as strong as he normally would be. He reminds me of Skinner, albeit more physical and maybe not quite as explosive a skater. Similarly agile, though.

Seems like Kuznetsov is being double-shifted.

Glad I'm watching.

Hope Grigorenko is ok, I thought left ankle, too, but I saw some tweeting knee; so for now, left leg injury.
