Electronic Arts will be launching copies of the game into (or rather, near) space using weather balloons.
They will be released in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris.
Each one will be carrying a GPS, so fans can track them on the official website with the hopes of them landing in their front yard for an early look at the game.
Any idea when the next roster update for NHL 12 will be?
Don't know, but I would appreciate it if they released a patch so that defenders in EASHL don't run away from the guys who swoop in from the corner and roof it high every time up the ice (provided you don't stop them, obviously). It took a long time for this game to have an absolutely legitimate glitch goal, but the glitchers found a way.
Don't assume everyone is using a TV with an HDMI port. TV in my house that I have the ps3 hooked up to is a large HD TV, but since its around 8 years old (I think), it doesn't have HDMI ports. Still has 1080i output though. Oddly enough, no TV in my house had an HDMI port... only the monitor for my bro's desktop (and I had to convince him to do so)...
it was a joke. trust me my computer and ps3 comprise my life. they're both hooked up to the same monitor (i have a desktop and a netbook, the desktop is just so much more powerful than any laptop i could afford that that was the best scenario) and both are in full 1080p.
Since I was *****ing about not being able to win an elite playoff in HUT I should probably mention I was able to do it this month.
Jacked my team up to a 95-92-75 (drastically better than before) and never really came close to losing.
Doughty/Johnson, Seabrook/Hjalmarrson, Dougie Hamilton/Some kid on the Ice Dogs I jacked up to 99 CHK 99 DEF made it like the game was on auto-pilot. I don't know how people who roll with these teams all the time ever lose.
Highlight: Making a 99-98-97 team quit while up 7-1 in the 2nd.
To follow up on my previous FIFA12 manager mode question, I think I'm seeing some progress with youth players. I had two in particular who I believe had potentials in the 82-88 or 84-90 range (roughly) when I signed them from my youth academy. I believe I loaned them each out for a year or two, even though I tried for more and they gained marginally in overall rating. Maybe 1-2 overall points each year.
I started using them semi-regularly on my team, mostly as an occasional starter when someone was tired, or at the very least always on my bench in case they would come in as a sub (I sim most matches in a season). They've continued to develop 1-3 overall points each season I believe. I want to say they are 21 and 22 and rated 74 and 75 right now. The younger one is a striker, the second is a defender. They each play a lot more now (injuries and/or filling in for tired starters), but don't start full time because my team has better players, with the exception of injuries. Even though the ratings aren't quite where I may have hoped, they are definitely getting better. And they play much better at least. They do not have poor form when they do play regularly.
Not that they were on my team, but I was monitoring how Juan Agudelo/Brek Shea were developing just to get a feel for how young players may develop, and the Juan was a 79 at age 25, Shea an 82 by age 25. So young players do develop, it just seems gradual. Best way to do it is for them to play somewhere though. The youth players who sit in my reserves seem to only get 1 point a year, and that doesn't mean much in the end.
That is a bizarre setting for an Assassin's Creed game. Not many people walked around with hoods in those days, at least in Renaissance Italy and Middle Ages Holy Land it made some sense.
