True that...

Anyway, on a totally different note, my parents finally caved and let me move my PS3 into the basement.

Granted, I have a pretty nice Vizio in my room that's wonderful for gaming, but come on, do you put your PS3 on a 37" LCD or a 55" LED?

Ideally nothing larger then a 32 inch. usually 26 is the most efficient for gaming

My tv in my bedroom is 26 and it's pretty good. I've been playing on a 40 something tv out in the living room though and it's taking me time to adjust

I'm the kind of guy who likes to sit back on the other side of the room, not up close five feet from the screen.

I game a lot, but I'm still casual about it.

During the last 48 hours I've actually had time for video games. I finally opened MW3 (which I bought a few months ago) and played online with friends. I've had time to play NHL 12 (and I'm still kicking serious ass online), I tested out Sonic Generations at a friend's house, and will probably pick back up with Bayonetta that I haven't had time to play in the last month or so. Of course I'll have zero free time for the 2 weeks after New Years thanks to absurd work hours, but this is a start.

I got the nightingale armor and chilrend which kinda sucks cuz my guy is two handed but I've been messing around w it because it's fun to set people on fire and cut them up. I think I have two more quests left, I don't think ne thing could be as bad ass as that armor though

I haven't played in forever. I played a little of vs. play games online. I greatly enjoy that a ton more these days. I don't over-play it, so it hasn't soured on me. That and I'm like 15-1-2. Feels good when you tend to play a lot of good games, and occasionally dominate someone.

Drop ins went poorly. Was always the only guy that stayed back. Some things never change I guess

The Nightingale Armor is what I was talking about. Soooo sweet looking. I wish I specialized in Light Armor rather than Heavy so I could actually rationalize using it.

Assassin's Creed Revelations, Uncharted 3, Skyrim and Battlefield 3.

I got a lot of gaming to do now. Didn't get to touch them yet with visiting, but tomorrow will be a day well wasted. Can't wait.

I have a 55inch samsung LED and a 26 inch samsung lcd that i used to use for games, but is now confined to bloomberg and ETrade duties with my other office max grade monitor.

the second i put nhl from a sub 26" to a post 42" setup i realized 2 things.

1. it's much harder
2. it's much more fun. for the first week i couldnt fathom how much i enjoyed actually having to look at the other side of the ice to throw a saucer pass and rush the zone. i think if you purely want to win (which i was very good at when i was an adolecent) its optimal to play on something no better than a computer monitor; however, if you really want to enjoy it, there is nothing better than throwing an 80 ft saucer pass that pierre creams his pants on with #5 on a giant setup.

I've been playing Skyward Sword all day, I'm done for the night, the Mrs. has her first day back at work tomorrow - if I'm still up playing when she's getting up to go to work, it's gonna be ugly

Do enemies in skyrim adhere to your level? Because I'm level 19 and I don't even do ne thing to the frost dragons. Does that mean if I'm level 60 before I go face Alduin he will level accordingly or do they all have "set" health

all enemies that are part of a quest level according to you. random encounter enemies and basic enemies in a cave or something won't. that's why the dragons you find just walking around are easy by level 10 but the ones you find in quests are still difficult.

So I've only played FFVII, FFX, and FFXIII. I want to download either FFI or FFII to my iPhone because they're on sale for $5. Which do I get? Which has the better story, battle system, and gameplay overall?

Appreciate people's insights.

Final Fantasy II has a really good story for a game of its age. The leveling system in the game is vastly different then whats in any other FF game.

Also I believe the iphone version is taken from the Dawn of Souls compilation which is good cause it scaled down the difficulty a good bit from the original US release.

Both are worth playing so I would say pick them both up but if you had to get only one I would say go with FFII.

First up was Uncharted 3. Started today and couldn't put it down. Spent a good 6 hours playing. I think I'm almost finished the campaign, Just finished Chapter 20.

I really liked that Cutter character.

Kill a dragon losing only a quarter of health feel badass. Walk down the mountain and get decimated by a Frost troll feel embarrassed.

I seriously have more problems with Frost Trolls and mudcrabs then Dragons, and Giants.
