BattleField 3 online was supposed to be slower paced, more strategic than COD MW3. Yeah, apparently slower means warp 4 rather than warp 8.
I miss the old Ghost Recon days of true slow paced squad games when after you got shot you stayed dead until the end of the 15 minute round. None of this run and gun mindlessly crap.
And the guns these people have are just insane. A support machine gun with sniper scope and sound suppressor? C'mon...

Yeah I gave up on COD a while ago for the same reason. My all time favorite is still Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Slower paced, a little more tactical, no stupid perks, good cover system. None of that BS knifing or melee crap, just straight up shooting. Best part was you could host games and boot people, ban weapons and choose maps.
i get the ps3 tomorrow thanks to amazon. i'm ready to play you fools. already picked up nhl 12.
remind me about this too (probably closer to the weekend). i greatly enjoy vs. play games in NHL 12, so I'm up for that if you want at any point in time.
Rainbow six 3 was and is still the best tatical shooter. I still remember the battle my friend and i had as the last players on each team. We ran into each other in a open room and did circle squats shooting each other for what seemed like 5 minutes. In reality it was like 10-15 seconds.
Also i Havent done the leg work but i think Nazem(?) the Redguard in the Dark Brotherhood is voiced by the guy who did Three dogg. Because One dog aint enough and two is just too low its me Threeeeeee Dawg!

Agreed. I never really got into player v player mode, but loved the coop mode. Turn the difficulty up and it's hard as **** to take them out. Great game.

i just made one tonight to use called hfdevs because we didn't know if we had one or not. i have no idea if it will be very active though (after tomorrow i definitely won't be able to play until probably close to april or so) so join at your own risk of 12 hour cooldown times, but it's an option. also i gave it the good ole purple and green jerseys we were rockin this summer before we started sucking every game.

Yeah, I joined this one. I figured out like half an hour after we gave up on the idea that I could join it via your invite. Strange.
I saw the old team hadn't played any games since the first week in December. There were like 5 games played that day and that was the first since mid October. I figured that meant it was dead so I joined the new one. I'll have a lot more free time a week from now, so I'll likely try to be active if others are. Not sure if that will encourage more to join, but its a possibility.
