Just the fact he was willing to play through a concussion shows how much heart Colby has. He is overpaid though. Wishing for a speedy recovery.

Why wasn't he training his brain to withstand concussions?

Wait, you say you can't?

News to me!

I was never Army's biggest fan when he was in Atlanta but you can't argue with his passion for the game.

Given the articles and the length he went you can see how badly he wants to play, I wish him a speedy recovery.

dumb move but that is expected from a scrub trying everything to remain relevant in the league. and to think burke spent 3 mil on this. these boneheaded moves cripple any chance at success

We need players that actually play. We have no room for players made of glass. Colby please stay on IR for the remainder of the season. What a joke.

He really needs to sit out the rest of the season. Need to salvage at least one year on this bad contract we gave him.

The guy must have kept his concussion symptoms quiet because he feels bad about being injured for much of last season and now this season and doesn't want to look bad to media, fans and his team mates.

He can't control getting injured. And he has bad luck with it.

I recall a tweet he posted when Crosby came back last month. Army was out then too and tweeted a joke along the lines of "wait to see how many cameras are waiting for me when I get back #mediacircus"

Seems rathet poignant now. He refused to accept his condition because he knows that for a bottom 6 grinder like him, one long term injury could kill his career. There will be no bated breath eagerly tracking his progress back to the ice. He's not Sid.

We're sad along with him now but we're about ready to forget him now aren't we . I don't blame him one bit

He makes our team much better when he is healthy. As long as he has a contract wit the Leafs I will not be ready to forget his status and progression towards returning.

I'm a big Army fan. I remember playing NHL09 and I would always sign him in free agency, and hoped the leafs would too.

It's too bad that he has been so unfortunate. Not bad injuries either like upper body or lower body (vague) but 2 broken feet, his hand, and now a concussion. It's no wonder he was been rough this season, he hasn't even been able to get his bearings.

I feel he makes the team better. Along the boards, and getting the opponent off their game. Hope he has a speedy, but full recovery.

P.S. Anybody notice the similarity between him and VanRyn coming to the Leafs?

Van Ryn came to the Leafs as an injury plagued defenseman who was a salary dump the other way. Lombardi's a closer situation than Armstrong, who came in as a healthy player with no injury questions in his past.

Armstrong is becoming worse than Connoly with all his injuries.

Too bad cause I like him when he plays.

No, because Van Ryn played really well when he was healthy. Armstrong has not.

This place is crazy.

Sure - Armstrong was wrong and probably should have informed the medical staff of his situation/concussion.

But I have NO problems with what he did. Is it wrong? Yeah. But given his injury history, I totally understand.

Can't fault his desire and his hunger to be involved.

What's with the boards recently? Everyone is bitter and just hurling insults at everyone and arguing about stupid little things.

It's Christmas people. Be happy.
