Never doubt the Lu. Because he comes back and does this. 5-0-1 in his last 6 and posts a .949SV%.
Luuuuuuuu.

His numbers are starting to recover after his awful October. 16 days ago he had an .892 sv% and now he's up to a much more respectable .910.
And it's still a pretty small sample size so all it would take to get up to .920 is him playing his next 4 games like his last 4.

It's quite impressive how he does it year after year.

He played well this game kept us in the first period. Just need to keep playing like this and be consistent like this into the playoffs.

And annoying.
Great goalie, love him, I just wish he played like this from game 1.
Very happy to see him rounding back into form.

You can notice him challenging more when the only option is shot, good adjustment.

He looked very alert, confident and in control tonight. When he made that glove save on Bouchard in the 2nd and kept his balance instead of falling forward... that's what I want to see!

Not bad for a guy who supposedly can't play in this league anymore.

Where are the Luongo haters now?
I'm still here. But there's no denying he played great.
/nobody actually asked that question... But it seemed like something people would say after a shutout.

he sure is playing differently. we all know he's a slow starter. maybe schiender being given the last 7 starts lit a fire under luongo? also noticed he challenges the shooters now instead of playing deep in his net. less belly flopping.

Clearly he made the adjustment after reading HF a short while ago.

Personally, I don't think it's a coincidence he sucks right after working with Allaire in the summer...

Nah, then he might stand a chance at actually winning a vezina.
Can't be doing that.
Good for Luongo, he can help the team to a nice finish during the regular season.
Then implode in the playoffs and people will make the usual excuses. Then have another horrible october, then recover. People will start trying to pass off his great regular season numbers as a reason to keep him. The hate will die down.
Then it's playoff time and he can cost the team another series. Repeat til retirement.

He does it his entire career.
maybe the problem is he doesn't work enough with Allaire in the summer.

No, it`s not. Allaire`s game is all blocking and generally stuff that keeps Lu from reading the play, staying on his feet and reacting. Look at him earlier this season - down early and just trying to cover as much net as he can.
Not only that, but Lu was missing several very fundamental skating teachniques that are now showing up in his game since Melanson arrived.
He wasn`t a slow starter until the Canucks changed styles, which to me suggests that the stuff he`s learned from Allaire and Clarke for most of his career wasnt serving him as well.
