11-12 Minor Signings and Re-Signings (ANA: P.Maroon)
I hope you know that Talbot is on pace for 35 points and 19 goals so far??
Btw. I never wanted to hand out Talbot the deal he got, and I still wouldn't, but he has outplayed Cooke bigtime this season..
but this is the best Talbot has played for quite some time, change of scenery has been great for him and I don't think he'd have played anywhere near this well on the Pens.

Not to derail this but Talbot has looked really good in orange and black. I was skeptical about the contract when it was signed. I do like what Talbot has done for our team. As of late he's been a mainstay on a line with Voracek, lately with Voracek and Couts as a somewhat "shutdown" line.
Nice signing for Vitale though, he is a hard worker and doesn't give up when on the ice.

No doubt about that. Vitale has been what Talbot was early on in his career, and that's the Talbot we loved. Post-Cup Talbot was a mediocrity who was desperately in need of health and, apparently, a change of scenery.
Had Talbot stayed on with the Penguins for one more year I don't see his production being anywhere near what it is with Philadelphia. I still think that contract will bite Philadelphia in the ass before it's at the midway point...but he's an absolute steal for them this year, somehow. On the flip side, as a Penguins fan, I'm taking this version of Vitale and his near-minimum contract over Talbot and his $1.050 million contract that we had the previous two years, to say nothing of Talbot's monster deal right now.

Linemates have definitely helped Talbot to, all though he did have some periods playing with Geno he also had a lot of time playing with Craig Adams and Eric Godard.
