Brodeur on Rivalry
Quote:
“You don’t see them, so they just do whatever they need to do,” Brodeur said. “We do whatever we need to do. But when you do face each other every so many games, I think now that’s a little different. It takes that first game to see how the rivalry this year is going to go. There’s a different cast of characters on the teams. So, we’ll see how that goes.

“There’s years that it’s quieter. There’s other years it’s really sparking.”
DeBoer on Win in Montreal:
Quote:
“I really liked the way we played (in the third),” DeBoer said. “We really took away their time and space, controlled the neutral zone and frustrated them. That’s how we have to play with the lead as opposed to some of the things we were doing earlier in the year.”

Basically what DeBoer is saying is "Instead of playing like headless chickens with the lead, we're playing the 2-2-1 like we should be and everyone's all ******** about it"

Yesterday's training practice had Boulton on the fourth line and Tedenby on the third.

Our defence is a bit banged up too. This one could be another high scoring affair.

Just missing Greene, no? We'll be fine. Look at the Rags' 2nd and 3rd pairings.

I would love to see the Devils storm into the 24/7 narrative by blowing the Rangers out in a rivalry game.

I would settle for a narrow win though.

I LOVE these games. I don't remember the last Devils home game against the Rangers I missed, it's been a lot of years.

Cannot wait for this work day to be over.

Tallinder is still out with his back spasms, and Larsson's recent struggles make more sense in light of his grandmother's passing. Foster, Tao, and Urbom are all adventures defensively, and at least two of them will be playing.
