Playing Fedotenko over Avery?

I don't understand why Fedotenko isn't in the minors. He was crap on the Islanders, and he is crap on the Rangers. Avery is a great man and universally better than Fedotenko.

Its pretty easy to understand...Because Torts is the coach and he makes the decisions, not you.

Feds plays a better game than Avery. We have been winning and winning in convincing fashion.

Some people think Avery is a lot better than he is, which is a fringe NHL pkayer. Don't find things to complain about.

How quickly people forget how good Feds was at the end of last season and in the playoffs.

By no means do I think Avery is elite, but I do believe that he has more talent than the like of Fedotenko and Christensen.

Not necessarily. He plays with 10x more effort, though.

Yeah. He has always bee a playoff performer.

Scored the only 2 goals for Tampa Bay to win the Cup in Game 7, 2-1.

Wait... ANOTHER "waaaah why isn't my favorite player Sean Avery playing" thread?

After the team just took over the lead in the Atlantic? Now that they are in 3rd place in the entire league, a point out of first with two games in hand? Now that they're on their third 4-or-more win streak in less than half a season?

Seriously, just go watch the WWE. You want theatrics, not hockey.

EDIT: And wait... "Sean Avery is a great man"?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF?

Feds stays in the line-up! Has had some clutch performances in the post-season too.... Not missing Avery in the line-up at all right now....

This guy may have deserved a legit shot before a few players on the team.

and Feds scored a big goal last night......Sean is on waivers as soon as the freeze is over, book it

then we don't have to talk about this any more and the team continue winning with who is actually playing

I do think they should let Feds walk as a UFA next yr though. Hagelin is replacing his spot on the 3rd line

"In a tense Game 7, Fedotenko scored goals for Tampa Bay late in the first period and late in the second period for a 20 lead. After Conroy scored to narrow the deficit to 21, Calgary barraged Khabibulin after taking only seven shots in the first two periods. After the Conroy goal, Khabibulin stopped 16 Calgary shots. The series ended as Flames center Marcus Nilson missed a last-second opportunity to force overtime. Tampa Bay won the game, 21, and the Stanley Cup."

This. It may have been 8 years ago. But I'm sure this will always be in the back of Torts' mind.

As much as I want Avery playing there isn't anybody in the line-up he should be playing over now. Put EC back in and that changes IMHO.

The only way I see Avery working his way back into the lineup is with injuries or if Rangers lose 4-5 games in a row with lackadaisical effort..

Slightly off topic but since we are discussing some 4th line players here is a cool quote posted by Dan Rosen during a recent game,

I am one of the biggest Sean Avery haters there is as a Ranger fan. However, I think he should be in the lineup right now. Just makes sense.

Oh, and not over Feds by the way. He should be in over Boyle who is absolutely horrendous.

Boyle has had back to back solid games. Torts said Boyle's line was his favorite line from the Flyers game,.
