Can't in Kanata, The (Dead) Beats Go On

The Good -

- Whitmore. Lots of effort, didn't stop moving his feet. The fourth line generate chances and drew penalties, and he had a lot to do with that.
- Miller kept them in it.

The Bad -

- Leopold-Weber had all sorts of issues
- The EN goal
- Trio's of failure on the first two goals. Leopold, Weber, and Gaustad on the first, then Adam, Szczechura and Weber on the second.
- Hey Zack, it's ok to actually make contact. You too Luke. Stop being *******.
- Vanek with his UBI couldn't control the puck at all.

The Ugly -

- Another loss.
- Hey Gaustad, you're buddy isn't going to get you another cushy contract. Stop playing stupid hockey -- two goals on you tonight pal. Wake the **** up.
- Weber is a rough and tumble MAG. He's a mess. He's first option when Myers gets back.

we're never going to GET healthy, so it's a moot point. The game Myers comes back, Regehr will suffer some debilitating gastrointestinal infection or something and be out 4-6 weeks.

As it has been lately, but the story is told again:

Good: The call-ups

Bad: The established guys. Looking squarely at you tonight, Goose.

Ugly: The pile of flaming garbage this season is rapidly turning into.

I'm normally extremely optimistic when it comes to the Sabres, but this team just flat out sucks. I hate to sound like its a knee-jerk reaction from recent bad play, but this team's problems go beyond injuries. Time for change.

Good: I missed all but the last 2 min of the game

Bad: I saw a dumb penalty, and two goals against the Sabres in that short two-minute stint

Ugly: This team.

G:
-Liked Sekera/Regehr other than that one sloppy turnover early by Sekera

B:
-Why does Lindy keep trying Roy with Vanek/Pommer, it just doesn't work?
-Thanks Weber for giving Lindy an excuse to bring Gragnani back in.

U:

Obligatory ruff, roy, stafford complaints post.

All well deserved tonight. Pominville with his first bad game of the year. Weber sucked.

Pretty much the same as Chain's. The fourth line, specifically Whitmore and Ellis, were great. And I feel the need to reiterate, **** you Gaustad. Quit playing like a dumbass and killing your own team.

Yeah, always a bad sign when your 4th line is your best line. Ellis-Whitmore-Cody was solid all night

If miller plays as well as he did today, we will be fine once people get healthy

Gaustad has joined the "Roy, Stafford Memorial GTFO" group. Been the most overrated player on the team the past 4 years, and that's saying a lot.

Glad I turned it off, so I guess I can't really comment. But I trust everyone here to speak for me regarding the GBU.

I'm just so frustrated yet apathetic at the same time. I just don't give a **** about this team anymore. It's past the injuries at this point for me.

Good- call ups
Bad- 3rd period as usual
Ugly- Getting dominated in the 3rd, core blowing ass... Again, and we play again Thursday.

I think the "Healthy Changes Everything" campaign is the Sabres way of subliminally making an excuse for how terrible they are...

Weber tried to line up a check and missed on both of the Senators first two goals.

If Weber's on the ice, expect the opposition to score.

You know who else is good on faceoffs?? Mike Zigomanis, he makes 500K on a NHL deal and probably isn't much of a drop off in other areas.

No good.

No bad.

Ugly: Just sick of watching this team find new ways to lose every night.

G
Whitmore looked solid all night, foligno got going as the game progressed. Good energy from both of them. Too bad foligno couldn't bury that chance in the 3rd
Miller for most of the night
No injuries hopefully
Not getting destroyed even though only 5 of our regular forwards are healthy

B
Roy as the pointman on the PP
Our defense sucks at taking the body on guys crashing the net for rebounds (Leo, Weber, looking at you two)
Pommer's defensive coverage on the 3rd goal
Staff passing up a good scoring chance on the shorthanded 2 on 1 and giving the puck away
Chewy's giveaway on the 2nd goal

U
Paul Gaustad getting paid $2 mil to do absolutely nothing other than take a dumb ass penalty late in the 3rd
The beat goes on: Callups play harder than nearly all the regulars
