Not getting my hopes up in the least, but I estimate the chances of Rads joining the Preds for the playoff run and playoffs at 75%>
Just too much of a win-wn for both sides, not to happen.
So, rad can come back, play one game.....quit, go back to Russia, play next year in the khl, play in the Olympics , then the next summer is a UFA because of his age...
Is that correct?

If he comes back, plays one game, and quits we just suspend him again.

If he did that, I assume he'd be on permeant suspension from the NHL. Especially with a new CBA coming up, if there was any possible loophole, they'd close it just for him.

Hmm, I suppose that is correct, but I don't think he would do that.
Thanks all. Just trying to look at the Trojan horse
So, he could possibly play thru the end of our season. Then not sign any rfa agreement, go back to Russia next season and be a UFA free and clear the following summer because of his age?
I posted this in the main thread. It's a good article with current quotes, and a useless link to a Rads interview (unless someone can translate.)
In his interview he talk mostly about their season, playoff elimination, AK Bars and Ufa as teams wished luck to his conferences teams to win the Cup and so on.
Sounded pretty decent for early unplanned exit.
Three last questions were:
-Are you going to play in Ufa next season?
-It looks like you got yourself few days-off with this early elimination before camp ( I guess WC camp). What is you plans?
- I am not sure. I have a few options I need to think it over. Time will show.
- Do you plan to win Gagarin's Cup next season with Ufa?
- Time will show.
Then one of the interviewer said thank you and Rads left.
What I can tell from his intonation and reaction he is done there.
Now it is just a decision to come over this or next season...
what I took away from it is something maybe we didn't consider too much in the flaming many on here did. the kid comes from a small town and had a chance to take care of his family sooner rather than later. couple that with the "publically humiliated for his celebration that injured Jason Arnott" you can see why he left rather than being a primadonna.
Artem – If he doesn’t get signed by Moskva he is gone, he will go to Nashville in my mind, he is done. He has won all in the KHL and he is too good for game.
Looking at Radulov with a deservedly suspicious eye, I can't help but wonder if this isn't some kind of ploy to wring a huge contract out of another team.
It would be AMAZING if Radulov came back! I'm cheering for Nashville to win the cup this year (much like I did last year). Radulov would give your team the missing dimension it needs to be a quasi-favourite.

No. He would be suspended again as soon as he left without our permission and his elc would not be completed. He will have to finish a season in good standing to complete his elc. Then, if we make him a bona fide qualifying offer, and he goes back to russiainstead of playing next season, he would freeze in time again as an rfa.
A guy named Igor Kleyner posted Salavat will be having there end of team meeting on Saturday... in which there time zone is ahead of ours so we'll see....

Nashville would have no grounds to suspend him because he wouldn't be under contract. As a RFA, he would be free to sign in Europe if he pleases. I'm unsure how the UFA part would work though.
