Scoutman, which round do you think Liam Hynes could be drafted? He looked good when I saw him playing.

2nd round...he is great in the offensive zone, he has amazing shot and great goal scoring ability, but he needs a lot of work in his own zone...one demensional player.

Bouchard yes I would say he does, he has A LOT of potential

Robinson I have in my 3rd or 4th round....Gavriealatos is small, I have him ranked for 8th round if drafted at all.

I agree with you, on Gavriealtos, he's good, in fact id say really good but he's very small.

If he grows( he will but I mean significantly) he can be a steal, however that's my opinion.

Scoutman, why do you think Robinson was passed over ?

Boucher is a good worker player, has some upside but will not be a big time major midget player, he reminds me of Mitch Maynard.

Bauld is a good player on Bubba Rays, I hope he grows at 5'7 he will need to grow by next year, if he does he grow to like 5'9 or 5'10, there is a chance he could be a 1st to 2nd round pick in the draft.

Boyd I have not seen or not noticed so I can not comment on him.

Poirier if he does not get to 5'09 he does not get drafted, no team in the QMJHL is going to want to a 5'6/125 player who has no strength and is a little abover average on offense which being so small and not strong does not translate. I say 5'09 for him because with his lack of strength and in ability to put up with traffic areas and physical play well unless he is bigger his game will not translate...there are tons of players in quebec region like him who never get drafted. Now at the same size you can compare Colby Tower and Tower is 5 times the player Poirier is with his ability to play in traffic, go to the net, excellent hockey sense, creates all the time on the ice, hard working, he plays bigger than he is and is more talented.....Poirier plays small and is not talented enough to make up for it from what I saw of him so far.

well I have to say the first thing to not beleive is a coach with those stats...I watched him play over and over and if he is 5'08 he must have taken a BIG growth spurt in the last month, because at best he is 5'6....

Many people are starting to like Alex Gallant ahead of Kameron Kielly, what are your thoughts on those 2? They are a thrill to watch in the Major midget league, might be able to make that jump to major junior next year

Wouldn't surprise me if they both play MJ next year, both are at the world U17 challenge as underages which is impressive. Yes, PEI is rather weak for their 3 player selections, but still kudos to them!

I think they are both there on their own merit. it was hard not to ask Gallant as he has been 2nd in points in the NB_PEI League and has been playing very well. Keilly has been having an impressive year too. Parents were saying Gallant was picked and he was not even asked to the the tryouts for the team.

I heard gallant looked quite impressive against USA. he skated very well and was physical. He had a good shift with macKinnon. keilly looked good too. Sources say they certainly did not look out of place!

And him being a strong player doesn't surprise me at all! I remember watching him play in a tournament in NS when he was in atom and was a GREAT player in those days too

any other reports on some of the Atlantic players? how did the MacNeil's look? Donaghey?

underagers didn't seem to get alot of icetime but I think all 3 looked very good when on. Donaghey got more shifts at the end of the 3rd period and he looked very impressive throwing 2 big hits in one shift. Hopefully they will fit him more into the lineup.

Macneils played steady and Murphy was probably the best defense. A few players(no names) struggle with their skating

HAHA the skating comment would seem VERY reasonable, unfortunately you cant get any with it at international levels....... but glad to hear the underagers are holding there ground, should help them with there draft.

Did USA have seth jones playing or is he still injured? i heard they were considering him for the world junior team...?

Seth Jones is a '94 so he is too old for the U-17 and yes he is on team USA for World juniors

Not knocking either Kielly or Gallant but if either were from NB, NS or NL they wouldnt be there...

Matthew Highmore is better than both and he wasnt even close to making it because of the depth NS has...

Its a rule that has always lead to questionable selections from PEI...

That being said both are good prospects for the upcoming draft.

Those are the guidelines though, it gives exposure to all provinces. The team would be mostly team nova scotia canada games team if not
