She was cute for sure. His kid is adorable. Girardi is an easy guy to root for. Puts his head down and works hard. He reminds me a lot of Beauk in that sense. He'll be my next jersey.

I've noticed it and a few other posters say they've noticed it aswell. When it's brought up, nobody knows what we're talking about. I'm just glad it's not just me.

Ehhh I don't know. I sort of agree with CH10 though, that exchange with Carle was very...awkward.

"Flavor of the month."

Then Giroux like, glares up and is just like "....what?"

I don't know, it's hard to explain.

We have a 19-8 record, yet you wouldnt know it from that show. Seems they casually forget to turn the cameras on after a win.

HBO isnt happy enough just to let things unfold as they go, they have to script it somehow. Pathetic.

They way they cut it, you would think that the Flyers are a team of destiny while the Rangers are lucky to be in the NHL. They spent 20 minutes cutting around the bad game in STL, then the win in PHO is almost a footnote.
Don't know what you were watching.

It was pretty clear to me that this episode they put an emphasis on the practice facility, travel, and the equipment managing aspect. I thought it was really interesting, but I can see how others would want more raw footage of the action, more hank/other star players etc. I thought the scene where Torts was doing the video practice, where he praised MDZ and Eminger was brilliant.

I don't get the complaints, to be honest. I thought most of us would be beyond thrilled to have unprecedented access to our favorite team.

Can someone put together a gif of the cut above Rupp's eye opening up. That was an incredible catch by the HBO cameras.

The best was how the music synced with it.

Fantastic cinematography.

Complaining about editing out Florida is hilarious when they also edited out Dallas.

Also, they opened the show with a statement of how good the Rangers are.

They HAD lost 4 out of 6 after that St Louis game, so exactly what do you want?

Did you guys ever stop and think that maybe Giroux's just camera shy? And doesn't like interacting how he normally would with his team mates because there's a camera shoved up his face?

I get that it's a lot easier to type stuff like "Giroux acts like he doesn't know JVR" instead of typing actual reports of both those guys searching to buy a place together this past off-season.

HBO's been great, and I've enjoyed both these episodes, but you guys have to remember that even though there's "behind the scenes access" we STILL don't know these people.

Nothing personal but here's an idea. See things the way you want to on your board and let us see things the way we want to on ours.

Just watched the episode tonight and no idea how this is so far under the radar. I rewound the scene just to make my boyfriend see that horror that I could not unsee (yes, I freeze framed)

Other than that, I can't wait for the next episode. Any show that can make me see the Flyers as "mostly" human and not hated enemies deserves major kudos

I have been reading comments on other sites,... one site (NHL.com) where more than a few people were annoyed with Jagr walking away from Bryzgalov when he sat at his table.

ILMAO. Don't they know Jags by now. How many years has he been in this league. It's a joke guys. Duh.. I thought that was the best moment of episode 2.

I remember an interview with Jags when he was here playing with the Rangers.

He was asked a silly question along the lines of,.... how difficult was it to blah blah blah. Jags replied,.... It was so easy, a caveman can do it.

Haha, I loved Torts comments in Stralman and Emminger at the start.

Stralman is obviously a very talented D that "looks" good on the ice. But he has not put it together in the NHL, no doubt.

Torts points at something on the ice and says something like "Emminger looks like **** on the ice most of the time but he does that and that's why he is playing for us" infront of the entire team.

I love it.

Bad. Although the glycol running under the ice can be changed in temperature to account for it. Hopefully they are having cold nights.

On a cool note:

My company is the one who supplied the compressors in the truck for the Winter Classic. I tried to get tickets that way, Fail.
