I'm a pretty good singer, but I tend to make concentration mistakes... like starting to sing the USA anthem in a game between two Canadian teams, then stop singing mid-song when I realized I was supposed to sing the Canadian anthem, then look like a total moron as I say "uh..." in the mic before starting the Canadian anthem

Did Anthem Singer average 1.5 points a game in junior?

Hmmm... I must admit that's tempting.

Throw in a couple more! Do you take care of aspirin afterwards as well?

If the kid can't sing 1.5/times a week in Junior, he can't be considered a legit anthem singer at the next level.

Hmm. Er, thanks mcphee, I guess. But then, you're the guy with the Dylan avatar, right?

Well, I can do justice, karaoke style, in my fevered imagination, to the following anthems:
- You Shook Me All Night Long, AC/DC
- Old Time Rock'n'Roll, Bob Seger
- anything by Steve Earle, specialising in Guitar Town
- Lightning Strikes, Live
- anything by Nirvana, specialising in the Man Who Sold The World
- anything by Fred Eaglesmith, specialising in Seven Shells

If that does the trick, I'm... still not in. But it was a nice thought, eh?

EDIT: Fugazi's post in another thread made me remember that I can do Heart of Gold or Needle and the Damage Done, amongst others from Neil Young too!

I always end up singing " Okee from Muskokee ", that's the only one I can do, sometimes " 96 Tears " by Question Mark and the Mysterians, BEST ONE HIT WONDER EVER!!

Can do. I tend to like the faster or zanier numbers, but I kind of reach the point on LL&G where Spookin' The Horses slowed me down too much, and I'm looking forward to Alcohol & Pills, so I can slog through Time to Get a Gun all right. 49 Tons, Georgia Overdrive, Seven Shells, that's more my thing.
