Penner-Stoll-Williams line is probably the most expensive line as someone already mentioned, but I really think this line can be very effective. I'm really happy with the line changes. It's just too bad that Lokti's not part of the starting line, but in all fairness, he really hasn't earned it.
I really don't think we have a bottom pairing. They'll all see equal ice time on even strength and more or less depending on how the special teams goes. I'd imagine that Doughty, Johnson, and Voynov get most of the power play time while Mitchell, Scuderi, and Greene (and Drew) get the penalty kill. Just a hunch. I think that Drew, Jack, and Mitchell lead the Kings defense in time on ice.
cant play defence? he pk's you know? he only has trouble defending if matched up against big centres, he in fine on the wing
It has been proven that he is the worst defensive forward in the team. I have done the analysis - it's somewhere in the forum - and there is no doubt that he lowers +/- of other players more than anyone else. He actually lowers JJ's +/- more than JJ lowers Richardson's.
What Nex said... the reason Richardson sees PK time is because he is fast, he's good at pressuring defensemen with his speed, but he is a poor defensive forward in terms of being a defensively responsible forward on the backcheck and positionally.
I remember in the playoffs when Richardson was "backchecking" without using his stick OR speed to get to the wide open man who ended up scoring the game winner. I wouldn't say he's useless but speed is the only thing that he has that possibly helps him.
