Just a courtesy thread for all of you who are driving home from work.

I just went to pick my son up from school, and the roads here in Barrhaven are BRUTAL. Ice pretty much from one end to the other. Kids walking home from school almost got hit TWICE from drivers not driving with the weather in mind.

Take care getting home. Give yourself some extra time, remember that back roads still won't be salted.

But then you couldn't live up to your name. Only a Canadian would be riding their bike in Dec.

Needed to head to Bayshore to grab a couple gifts. Is it THAT bad out? I am five-seven minutes away from there, is the drive doable as long as you go slow?

Ottawa is the town that fun forgot. Rumour has it that it is buried somewhere in the deepest, blandest part of Barrhaven where people's idea of fun is sitting in the backyard wearing a buttoned shirt, khaki shorts, white socks, and sandals watching the sprinkler water the lawn.

Ah. Common mistake. You are confusing Barrhaven with Orleans in general.

Thanks. May just go tmrw. If I go anywhere it will be to a friend's place nearby, not a zoo of a parking lot where a lot of people cannot drive for s***

This is what sucks about coming to a game from out of town. Traveling the perilous roads of upstate NY is no picnic either.

I fully expected to get run over while crossing the newly opened icy Cyrville Bridge after getting off the bus. But I'm so glad I made it across in one piece!

It was a beautiful sunny day out today and I went for a walk in my T-Shirt... Man I miss Ottawa in the winter...

The roads are fine in Kanata and Stittsville. And there was barely anyone out shopping. Parking lots were a mess, though.

It was horrible coming out of work @ Greenbank Shoppers. xD

Waiting for the bus and saw someone driving on a flat tire. Geniuses, I tell ya!

Do you go down through Lowville and Utica or is it easier to just go I 81 to 'cuse and cut over?*

*Assuming you're in Morrisville...

wouldn't it be more likely that a Canadian wouldn't be riding a bike in Dec? It's usually very cold and snowy here you see apart from most of the world.
