Luke Schenn is still on a lot of team's wish lists. At this point, I'm having serious doubts about whether Zidlicky is going to be traded - unless Fletcher is working on a multiple player deal.

He will be but gmcf wont just unload him my guess is he either has a list or is waiting for a list of teams

If GMCf does not manage to unload Zids before the deadline I am going to be even more pissed off than I already am, and thats saying something.

Well considering his timing with the Wellman trade, I'm guessing he decides to move Zidlicky about mid March.

if we hate Zids, does it maybe stand to reason other GMs around the league have reservations about taking him on for another year at $4m? It's not like we're dealing Ortmeyer where they'll just go "meh, if it doesn't work it doesn't work."
Dude did not help our case (or his if he wants to leave) by blabbing. We might have to take a more or less undesirable player back just to get rid of him in a more expensive Lats for Pouliot kind of trade.

that and every free agent needs to go. which i guess is really only harding, brodziak, zanon, and stoner. Just get what you can for them.

We need another stellar, and i mean stellar draft.

Wellman is going to get an empty net goal - without scoring. He's hauled down before he can shoot on goal. 3-1 Whale.

I so wish we could call up wellman why we got rid of him.is beyond me, i think our team would be better with the following lines

25 9 15

17 7 10

22 21 27/45

What ever

I wouldn't be surprised if teams are questioning if they would want a guy who is so unstable when it comes to quitting and running to the press. He's really blown things this past week with his latest comments.

If iirc most leaf fans disliked bouchamin last year yet leafs got gardiner and lupul.

Gm wont think like us, zidz aint happy here a new home and he is productive which can be what pushes then over the hump.

Or kabs too colbourne and a 1st

Right now gmcf has to get his ducks in a row no sense panicking if we can get more by having a few teams go after him we are better off.

Also at the current pace we will be having a shot at murray

Pavel Kubina, who currently has 11 points, was dealt to the Flyers today. Fetched a second-round pick from the Flyers in either 2012 or 2013, as well as Philly's 4th in 2014. Based on that, I see absolutely no reason Zidlicky won't fetch AT LEAST a 2nd.

EDIT: I'm a tard. Didn't see that Tyra, Jarick, etc. had already reported it and discussed it. No sleep = me dumb.

Clarke MacArthur went undercover at a sporting goods place up in Toronto. Funny little video.

Addendum to last post: Trade was Quincey for Downie, straight up. BMac is now saying he's hearing that Quincey was immediately flipped to Detroit for a 1st round pick.

Tampa has like 6 picks in the first two rounds next year now, or there abouts...

Kyle Quincey for a FIRST? Am I missing something? Wow, maybe Zidlicky can get us a 2nd or better.

Detroit now has 5 defensemen under contract for next season (assuming they resign Quincey as RFA, and after trading a first, I can't imagine they'd let him go). With only Kindl getting under $2.5MM (again, assuming Quincey's deal is at least equal to his current one), it seems less likely that Detroit will be a major player for UFA defensemen.

BMac now adding that Detroit also sent fringe minor leaguer (spent more time in ECHL than AHL over past few years) Sebastien Piche to Tampa. Probably just to clear the contract spot as Piche's deal ends this season. Detroit was at 52/50 contracts with two sliders.

It's too bad this is supposed to be a weak draft.
