Evander Kane is so underappreciated outside of the 'Peg. Dude's so skilled and creative offensively. Just scored in OT, beautiful move dragging it around the goalie and finishing, but he also totally created the pressure off the rush. It's nice to see him get to be a star and play for some rabid fans.

I've been such a huge fan of his since he knocked out Cooke.
I always trade for him in NHL 10/11/12. He's such a beast in the game, and he is so much fun to watch in real life.
Do they show live games on NHL Network in Canada? Cause I hate live games on NHL Network down here. That ****ing crawl they've got going is absolutely terrible and does nothing but distract from the game.
And god help you if you want to watch a replay spoiler free.
Part of me would sort of want to see Avery on this team. The again the more sensible part of me says eff that.

He's a fairly competent NHL winger, and possibly the most effective agitator the game has ever seen. He's not a dirty player and he draws penalties left and right. And as a waiver pickup we could leave him on a ridiculously short leash; Yeo and Fletcher absolutely wouldn't have to put up with any locker room bullcrap. Not to mention, it would probably do about as much to get us some national attention as our win streak did, and he would probably be a fan favorite very, very quickly.
I'd never want Avery on this team 10 times over. Russo made it known that the Wild's lockerroom had to deal with some unsettling personalities who created problems in the past. This year is different. It was a clean slate when Yeo took over. It's a tight group. It's a team....no selfishness. Yes, they may have a few moments of frustration, but no team is perfect. But they aren't looking out for themselves as individuals...they won't do something stupid or throw someone under the bus for their own personal gains. They aren't dumb enough to cross the lines of respect like Avery has.
Avery has shown not once, not twice, but MANY times that he doesn't think about his teammates before acting out on the ice or in front of the media. And he LOVES to show boat for the media. He doesn't consider the negative effects that his team will have to deal with. This team does NOT need that virus to break apart the positive environment that they (and the coaching staff) have created.
So NHL On Teh Fly (typo intentional) was talking about possible future winter classics and apparently someone is suffering from a fit of madness and was saying there's some kind of effort to get one down in Miami when the Marlins new ballpark is all done.
