Ex-Rangers' Blair Betts and Nikolay Zherdev scored consecutive goals that gave Philly a 3-1 lead. Mike Richards, off a splendid feed by Claude Giroux, and Chris Pronger scored PPGs. Brandon Dubinsky gave NY a 1-0 lead. Jody Shelley and Derek Boogaard fought (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS8LTsb91zQ ). Dan Carcillo and Brandon Prust battled (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60Ic2RJz0zg ) . Highlights -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePfLDN31Gn8 .
  • Dec. 18, 2010 --Nikolay Zherdev scored twice and Brian Boucher made 24 saves helping the Flyers improve their NHL-best record to 22-7-5 with a 4-1 home win. Mike Richards' terrific feed to a breaking Zherdev snapped a scoreless tie near the game's midway point. Zherdev's goal came seven seconds after his minor penalty expired. The Flyers led 1-0 after two periods then extended the lead to 2-0 before NY scored. Jeff Carter won 13 of 17 faceoffs. Philly held a 39-25 shots advantage including 13-6 in the third period. Chris Pronger missed his first game due to foot surgery. The Flyers completed an impressive streak of four straight wins against top opponents (Boston, Pittsburgh, Montreal and the Rangers) and were 10-1-3 in the last 14 games. Boucher improved to 6-0-1 in his last seven starts with a 1.66 GAA and a .943 save percentage. Highlights -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTdQQNGqvpY

While Couturier and Schenn are both doubtful to play against the Rangers tonight, Holmgren said both are expected to take part in today's pregame skate at Madison Square Garden. The Flyers have not fielded a full opening night lineup of healthy forwards since Oct. 26

And he's going to get lit up like a Christmas tree...no doubt.

lets **** these biches up!!!

Also, I don't get the "they can have this one if we win the WC". What is wrong with you? This is a heated rival, and HBO 24/7 compatent, as well as only 2 points back for the conference/division.

Under no circumstances should a loss to these rag tag bunch pansies be acceptable!

We rested Bryzgalov too. I do not know if it will help.

Even slow starting Luongo picked up his game lately.

That happens every year. The Canucks are under .500 in their first 10 or 20 games or something since Vigneault was hired as head coach and/or Luongo has been there.

Allright, it's 5pm. Time for me to sleep. The alarm's set on 12.55am.
I'm going for an all-nighter, the game in San Jose will end around 7.30am, and by then it's time to celebrate christmas all day. We're doing it on the 24th in Sweden. Gonna be a loooong day.

Later!

I know.. That's why I mentioned Luongo, even he got his game back and he is tradionally a slow starter.

Frank Seravalli Looks like no Danny Briere tonight. He is day-to-day with a bruised hand

You sir, are a trooper. Really cool to see dedicated overseas Flyers fans. Hopefully the Flyers don't lay a stinker for you and the rest of us.

So Shelley is back in? Or are we going to go with Holmstrom?
