Eh boys, Leafs fan here, just wondering if you think Kassian (Or "Cashin" if you're Rick J) will go back at Phaneuf for the hit last game?

We don't even know if he's playing tonight right now.

Ah darn, I've really liked his play since getting the call up. Been fun to watch and exactly what the 'bres need with his grit and toughness

Our crappy coach is thinking of scratching him because he gives a **** when he plays and we can't have that.

Maybe Ruff didn't like Kassian peeling off his hits again against the Sens? Granted, it's only noticeable there because while not flashy, his takeouts are punishing.

Edit - and also noticeable because he actually does hit from time to time.

What's up with Kassian's lack of physicality? I'm beginning to wonder if all the hype surrounding his rough style of play is just that -- hype.

True, but then most of the guys would be scratched after the Sens game.....

They told him last year to cut back on the rough-housing and concentrate on just playing the game. And here I thought castrati went out of style a few centuries ago...

Lines are brutal. Kassian should be with players who have some offensive talent. Not Kaleta.

Then the FO should take this supposed mandate off his physicality and let him be who he is. It's typical mind-numbing stupidity from the hockey department.

Finally, you have a guy in the system who can be the legit, nasty power forward we've needed since, oh i dunno...forever. And they won't let him just play his game.

And even worse, the coach is punishing him for listening to the mandate of the FO.

Just fire everyone already.

Why would Kassian get a scratch over Stafford? I don't care how good Stafford should be, if they aren't playing good, then scratch them. Make an example or you are gonna get minimal effort game after game.

Kassian > Stafford at this point.

Hey, that draft was all part of their move toward a bigger, more physically imposing team. And they've followed that up with... mmmm.... uhh..... yeah. Just like getting "tougher" by adding Mair 8 years ago, it takes more than just one set of draft picks or one trade. Regier loves him some cupcakes!

Pass the eggnog. I can't deal with this as a sober human being anymore. Also, get me a liver doner on line 2, because at this rate I'll need one by the end of the year.

Heh. It's easy to dislike this team. Very, very easy.

That he did. Then again, Tim Kennedy was second on the team in scoring that series.

I'll say that again. Tim Kennedy. Second in scoring for the series.

While we're *****ing about yesteryear, Darcy doesn't get enough flack for failing to acquire a depth center at that deadline. Gaustad had been ****ing terrible as a full time third line C after Kennedy fell off, and the whole bottom six being out of whack was a big reason the Torres acquisition flopped as hard as it did. You know, in addition to Raffi's conditioning/injury issues.

You don't need to worry about your liver. Your elevated blood pressure should stroke you out well before your liver goes.

This game is going to get ugly. Thank God I won't have to watch it.
