It's not illegal to leave your feet after a hit. That tends to happen when you fall down. The charging call was weak at best. Foligno stopped skating around the faceoff dot and glided into Ellerby and he did not jump into Ellerby.

Hit like that gets a call every time.

Just tuned in. Soooo, when did Potvin lose his marbles? Good hit by Foligno? No, he left his feet to make the hit. Goal by Versteeg? No, it went in off Repik. Ohh, Repik kicked it in? No, it went in without a kicking motion.
Man I used to love Denis, but maybe he should retire!
@FlaPanthers Florida Panthers
Weiss is doubtful to return for #FlaPanthers with an upper-body injury. That's 7 forwards out with injury, 5 injured in last 4 games
When have I ever given a **** about you or your opinions? He came in from a good enough distance, got the elbow to the face of a guy who was crouching from the opposite side of the net, and the result sealed it. Don't care what you think.
@hfialkov Harvey Fialkov
Acc. to Fox Sports Florida, Upshall skated today and could be back in two weeks. Marcel Goc will begin skating next week. #flapanthers #nhl

Wait, so now it's elbowing? And coming "from the opposite side of the net" isn't illegal.

yes, I know it's not illegal to be crouching from the opposite side of the net, point is that Foligno should have seen him in a crouched position. Didn't say it was elbowing, please read the post, as you apparently took what you wanted from it. Again, it's a call every time. Just stop.

So the elbow issue is irrelevant. And Ellerby definitely goes a bit lower just before impact. Lindsay even alludes to it.
