I think Clemmensen's gonna get the start tonight.

No source, just a feeling.

I think Dads deserves one more chance on the top line. I think we should try Santo at wing, he's not great on faceoffs, and is really a defensive liability. Barch has been better than Bradley IMO, and I also think we should try dropping Flash from the top line for a few games, it looks like he's not as in sync with Weiss and Steegs as he was at the beginning of the month. I'd rather see the lines look something like this:

Dadonov - Weiss - Versteeg
Fleischmann - Matthias - Santorelli
Barch - Kopecky - Repik
Thomas - Kennedy - Bradley

These, obviously would hopefully be very temporary, but I think some guys need to have a message sent to them, while others need to get a vote of confidence from the staff.

Matthiasitchy- Dineen's mancrush on Kennedy has to stop. I agree with everything you said. Maybe if he can string together some good performances, he can earn the ice time.

Laus- I also agree with you that Kennedy is NHL caliber, however, he's not a top 9 forward. I have no problem with him as our 4th line center, I think he doesn't play that role bad, but he's just not worthy of top 9 minutes.

Hoping for at least one point, and NO INJURIES tonight. Go cats We See RED!

Dineen should split up the top line already.

All of our other lines suck so bad, that's why.

Plus, the top line isn't even doing as well, recently.

I agree. It's not like there wouldn't be 2 good players still on the first line. Plus, they can possibly be put back together on the PP. We've scored 2 goals a game for how many games now? We have a major secondary scoring problem.

I fourth that. The drop off in talent from lines 2-4 is ridiculous.

An extremely short term solution to a very long term problem. This is an issue that needs to be addressed with the big man upstairs. Dale Tallon.

Id rather lose hockey games then break up our only line. Lets not forget why that lines works in the first place=Because the whole is greater than the sum of their parts.

By themselves, versteeg, flash, weisser are average players-Together their stars.

The proof is in the pudding-Last time weiss put up huge numbers was when he was playing with horton and booth. When you pair above average player like weiss with scrubs their production will decrease dramatically.

That line has not been firing on all cylinders lately. There isn't anything wrong to see if something sparks with different line combos for a few shifts. It's not like they can't be put back together.

A few shifts im not opposed to. Moving forward and over the course of a season its a terrible move.

Haven't posted in a few games, but tonight should be interesting to say the least. I'm sure there will be some of mixing and matching tonight while the team tries to find some rhythm.
I just hope we can hang in long enough to get two points, as tomorrow's match-up will be decidedly tougher.

anyway Florida would go after a guy like Dustin Penner? Seems like a good fit!

Penner - Weiss - Versteeg
Fleishmann - Huberdeau - ______

NEXT YEAR?

If he does, we could be in trouble. Because if he gives up more than 2 we are most likely going to lose as we have scored only 2 for an extended period of time.

Wrong thread buddy, but for the love of god- keep that bum as far away from this team as possible.

Don't give up, I agree with you!!! It's almost like a lose-lose situation. If our 1st line produces, people say we have no secondary. If they don't produce, then people want them split up.
I think they weren't firing on all cylinders because we were hit with the injury bug and Weiss,Versteeg, and Flash were double shifted to cover the holes.
Personally, I also say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I think our top line has been playing tremendously whether win or lose. I think Weiss will have a bit of a chip on his shoulder because of that penalty shot sitting on the goal line.
I would also like to see a second line of Kopecky-Matthias-Dadanov,and although I know they have Dads on a different line, I think it could work.Give Dads another shot to shine. We all know he can. Plus it gives Matthias another speedy winger to pass to and help contribute offensively.

Kennedy is barely NHL caliber, why do you think NO ONE picks him up off waivers? 0 offensive skill. My point is we need scoring, and I do watch every game and although Santo isn't scoring, him and Kennedy are basically playing identical styles at this point. At least I know that Santo has more offensive upside. Kennedy can't hit the broad side of a barn.
I'll go ahead and keep trusting the coach. And if he had zero offensive skill he wouldn't be on an NHL team. Doesn't explain your constant hate on. Kid works hard out there, he's not as bad with the puck as you state, and I like him better then some of our other call ups. Barely or not, it's not like he's here to stay, only when injuries call for it. No one picked up Huselius on waivers, either. Waivers is a funny thing, he's no Grabner, but no one said he was.
