Game #36|Colorado vs Tampa Bay|12.23|7 PM MTN|Steven Stamkos Visits the Mile High!

Tampa Bay is by FAR my next favorite team after the Avalanche
so this is a tough one for me

!!!GO AVS GO!!!

(I would love a 11-10 OT win for us)

Meanwhile Santa makes an early stop in Thailand

I'll just say that I don't understand how people can have two or three(in some cases more) favourite teams. Doesn't make sense to me. I dislike every other team in the league and want us to crush all 29 teams.

Anyhow, let's hope for a nice stocking stuffer with another win here.

Anybody read anything regarding injured dudes? Jones, Quincey, etc.?

I think the only record we are going to be breaking any time soon is who can have the worst snowblower accident...

I hear ya. I never understood the "2nd favorite team" talk, either.

(I guess I do have a 2nd favorite team, though...whoever is playing Vancouver!)

I'm predominantly a hockey fan. I follow many teams and many players. Tampa Bay is my Eastern Conference team.

I HATE finance. I'm working on a "internship" for my dad's company in the Finance department (which essentially is ***** work organizing filings).

I have come to the conclusion anybody who does finance has no appreciation for life... I have no idea how my dad used to spend 2 weeks straight working on 10Q and DEFI4A reports... WTF.

And what the hell kind of company keeps track of OPPORTUNITY COST. That's like me keeping track of girls I haven't slept with. Keeping a book and writing "I met Caroline today... Didn't sleep with her. Credit that to the "did not sleep with expenses".

WTF.

I hate when management beats their goaltenders to death. Why have a goalie burn out on a hot streak.

You don't understand what an opportunity cost is.

There are no "rules" to fandom. I root for the Rangers unless they meet up with the Avs. Why? I don't know...I guess because they're the team everyone else likes to hate.

Anyhow, I would think it'd be odd to have a division rival as your 2nd favorite, but I'm too much of a hockey fan to say "the other 29 teams need to lose."

Football, of course, is an entirely different matter.

I heard Varly has developed an uncontrollable fear of hockey pucks.

I didn't say "the other 29 teams need to lose." If you're going to put quotations around it, at least put the write quote.

"want us to crush all 29 teams."

That's what I posted. I'm not hoping for an 11-10 overtime win against anybody. I want us to win every game 50-0 no matter who we play against.

I do, sir. There's no reason to keep track of all the "what ifs".

Anything else? At all?

No didn't think so.

EDIT: maybe I wasn't clear. This company keeps track of opportunity cost that they passed on. Like "could have opened store on Clark and whatever, didn't, put that in opportunity cost account".

It's stupid. Just keeping track of what they could have done and in the end of the year they dump all that in to their assets account that doesn't depreciate as a "liquid cash asset".

Basically saying "I saw that a box of candy was $2. I could have bought it but didn't, so now I have $2 I know I can spend".

I'm glad they're starting Giguere tomorrow, but Varly better get the nod v Minny. The last thing they need to do is wear down a goalie.

I love our day-after-christmas games.

But I'll be up in Wisconsin shredding the slopes and going snow mobiling

EDIT: slow mobiling? wtf i'm ********.

Chill dude, wasn't necessarily quoting you directly, if I was, I could've just hit the quote button.

I've just read enough articles about how fans aren't "allowed" to have 2nd faves and what not and I just laugh. Why not? Again, there are no rules to fandom, but everyone has a right to his or her own opinion about it.

We will officially be at 0.500 with a win (OTL is still an L...I hate how the standings make it seem like it is not a loss).

We have 35 points this year so far...we had 42 last year at the same point (in 1 fewer game) after reeling off 6 consecutive wins. It was also the high point of the season and about the time the wheels start to come off as we would go on to win back-to-back games only twice in the final disasterous 50 games where we accumulated a mere 26 points in the standings.

Better to finish strong than start strong

Is it bad that when Vancouver and Detroit play each other I hope for a black hole to suck the arena up?
