Another Injury? Vanek? What the hell...

The Good -

- Physical game. It was fun to watch.
- Miller early.
- The push in the second and third.
- Killing the 5-on-3
- Whitmore-Adam-Kassian in the third. I like angry Cash rather than passive Cash.
- Hits?
- 40 shots? Reimer was great.
- Stafford was actually pretty good tonight, move to LW and all.
- Ellis-Gaustad-Kaleta early, and Whitmore-Ellis-McCormick early. Matty was chugging along tonight.

The Bad -

- Little stumble from Regehr and bang... in the net.
- Miller needs to make the save on Kadri. Sniped? Maybe.

The Ugly -

- Van out. ****. **** **** **** **** ****.

This team is royally screwed if Vanek is out long-term.

When we can't even beat Toronto, we're in trouble.

Loved the compete level, but the lack of talent showed.

Stafford was better.

At least we have a few days before our next game, hopefully Vanek can recover quickly. These injuried are just ****ing ridiculous those, sick of this. Worst luck this year, by far the most injured team.

Played good but still lost.

Someone tell me why ****ing Ellis and Kaleta were out there with 1:15 left thus leaing Kaleta out on the ice til 15 seconds left.

Blame Ruff for that ****. Nobody else.

Yeah, they need that sort of effort, regardless of who is in the lineup. They did a lot right tonight. Build off of it.

Good:

- entertaining hockey
- Sabres weren't outplayed
- neither were they outworked
- Sabres played physical

Bad:

- the quantity of shots was good, the quality however wasn't
- Kadris GWG
- last two minutes, they were desperate, but not close to scoring the tying goal
- too many penalties

Ugly:

- Vanek out, hopefully he'll be okay soon

Good:
Miller early.
Physicality.
Whitmore throwing the body.
Gaustad demolishing Liles.
Riemer straight up outplayed Miller.

Bad:
Miller on the 3rd goal.
More breakdowns.
Lindy's lines were a putrid combination of trying to balance things and stacking a line. It didn't work.
I really didn't like Leopold. A step slow all night and very poor offensively.

Ugly:
Vanek hurt. ****.
More of the same.

Nothing bad to say about the team tonight. They played their ***** off but they just didn't have the horses to finish the job.

This is a game where you may actually say injuries did us in. The effort was superb but the talent level didn't match the effort.

They are, but the Sabres are worse. The East is poor.

Some weak calls but overall a fairly officiated game.

The call on kessel for interfering with pominville wasn't good. Pretty sure poms fell himself. Likewise, the non-call on phaneuf for throwing roy to the ice in the third was bad. If you call kaleta's rough, you've gotta call that one. Neither should have been called roughing in that game though.

Eh, tough result, but fun game to watch. Remove the bad luck of Regehr's fall and who knows what happens.

Toronto has arrived, though. Credit where credit's due.

The Leafs aren't great either - and saying they have a better record then us isn't saying very much at this point.

Well we are 11-14-3 in our last 28 games. At this pace we are well on our way.
