Unknown. Supposedly, Shelley is dealing with an injury from the Bruins' game but I'm not sure of the severity.
Holmstrom is a center and that is what's needed more so. However, there could be matchups based on who's in and who's out of the NY lineup.
According to Tim P., Holmstrom is still skating so that could be a sign that he will be scratched and Shelley is in... if Briere doesn't play.

He's swedish, he needs his beautysleep. Will be watching the game (as per past 4 seasons, I've missed less than 10 games) and sleep enough to get to the 2nd best part of the day (tomorrow)... Flyers win is the 1st, and I almost already forgot what's that 2nd.

Rangers fans are hating on Jagr now.
I posted over in their forum that at least Philly fans had enough class to cheer for McNabb, Burrell, Richards, and Gagne in their returns.

Because never has there been a city more full of **** than New York. I like how they bring up "you threw snowballs at santa claus" when they heckled and threw **** at Cliff Lee's family when he was on the Rangers.

Flyers need to target Girardi every chance they get. Make his life miserable.
1. Bryzgalov (Tell Bryzgalov that we play PHOENIX Coyotes, maybe he'll play well)
2. Penalties (Rangers will capitalize if we give him PPs, unlike last year)
3. Play tight checking game.
By the way, is Shelley going ot play?

I totally forgot Jagr didn't play in that 0-2 loss in MSG
Anyways, does anybody know what the line up might look like without Briere?

That is one interpretation. Harry Z could center the fourth line since there isn't a natural centerman among Rinaldo, Sestito and Shelley.
FLYERS' POSSIBLE LINEUP:
Forwards:
Left Wing Center Right Wing Scott Hartnell Claude Giroux Jaromir Jagr James van Riemsdyk Matt Read Wayne Simmonds Tom Sestito Maxime Talbot Jakub Voracek Jody Shelley Harry Zolnierczyk Zac Rinaldo
Defensemen:
Pairing Pairing Kimmo Timonen Braydon Coburn Matt Carle Marc-Andre Bourdon Andreas Lilja Andrej Meszaros

Working from home means I might not be able to watch this until later. That seems stupid.

Warning to all Flyers fans as well as the Rangers fans that will fill the need to continually come back and post here. Keep it clean and civil.

I wouldn't say the Flyers didn't show up the last game. Both teams played a pretty good game the Rangers were just better.

So whats the chance of Lundqvist actually conceding 3 or even more goals? It seems impossible now a days.

Slim to nothing. Flyers need to avoid taking penalties or hope that Bryz outplays Lundquist which is not exactly a safe bet either.
No Briere hurts as well.

Not true. We beat their ***** last year with exception of 7:0 loss
In 6 games against them we had 9 points and they had 4.

24 games played and he's let in 3 or more in more than a third of those games.

Our club MUST stay the heck out out the penalty box tonight and play long strings of 5 on 5 hockey or 5 on 4 hockey with them in the box and us on the pp....I think there will be a few fights tonight, which should be interesting, especially if Sestito drops em and has a go with some one.....Looking forward to this one, its on the NHL channel tonight which is an added bonus for this classic match up ! GO FLYERS !.....Merry Christmas to all of you ! If the term " Christmas" bothers you............too bad !

Well thats good to know. Last few rangers games i have checked for him its been two or less. Ugh getting shutout the last time doesn't give me high expectations also, Jagr or not.

Time to step up and prove it against a better team. We haven't performed that well against some of the real threats in the east - Boston, NYR.
